I love how much time and labor goes into making a cake. I’ve always knit baby blankets for friends and family because it feels so special to spend hours thinking about this new loved one and wishing good things for them. It’s my favorite kind of act of service. Now, cakes very much occupy the same space in my mind. I got to spend hours baking and decorating this cake for one of my dearest friends to celebrate her love, reminiscing on our memories together, thinking of how much joy Bailey exudes and brings, and mostly, wishing for every good thing for Bailey and Ben in their lives and marriage. I love you both ♡
