🚨 Coming Soon to Riverfront Bakery! 🚨

🇮🇹 Sicilian Cassatelle (also known as Cassatedde)

Think of them as the fried Sicilian cousin of the traditional cannoli!

Instead of a rolled shell, sweet cannoli cream is wrapped inside a crispy, golden pastry and then fried to perfection. The result is a delicious combination of crunchy pastry and creamy ricotta filling in every bite.

If you love cannolis, you’re going to love these.

And that’s not all…

🍚 Now that we’re getting a fryer, we’re also hoping to start frying our rice balls fresh on the spot!

Many of you know we pulled our rice balls because we weren’t happy with the quality after refrigeration. We believe rice balls are at their best when they’re freshly fried, crispy on the outside, and hot on the inside.

Stay tuned as we continue expanding our Italian specialties and bringing more fresh-made items to Amsterdam!

What better thing to do at 6:30 in the morning on a Saturday than take a survey? 😂

We’re trying to decide what to focus on next at Riverfront Bakery:

🍩 Donuts
or
🍦 Ice Cream

Before everyone says “Do both!” 😆 … unfortunately, I can only focus on one right now. Between equipment, space, inventory, and time, I need to pick the one that makes the most sense for the bakery.

When I had donuts at my other shop in Amsterdam years ago, they sold very well.

We’re a little concerned about ice cream because it’s more of a seasonal product, while donuts can be enjoyed year-round. And yes, we’ll add coffee with the donuts..

It’s 7:45 AM, and would you believe Bam Bam and I still aren’t home yet from yesterday’s Brooklyn run?

We made almost 7 stops across Brooklyn and loaded up an Enterprise rental truck with all kinds of goodies for the store!
