Just to make things more confusing, Facebook allowed the name of the page to be changed, but will not merge the pages. Last time the names had to be the same to merge. Please go follow Sweet Georgia Bakery and Cafe with the green logo, not this page now named Sweet Georgia also… This page will get deleted if they continue to not merge them. Sorry for the confusion. Very frustrating as a small business not to be able to control your online information.
We will be closed again tomorrow Monday Dec. 6. Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope to be back fully staffed by the end if this week. Thank you for your support.
Sorry to ask you guys to start following another page but after numerous attempts to merge the two pages (which FB claims it will do but in reality it doesn't) I have come to the conclusion that this is the best option. Managing two FB pages and an Instagram page just doesn't work. The "CC Coffeehouse" page will remain active for the time being but will be managed minimally. I will eventually turn it off. So please go follow us on our Sweet Georgia Bakery and Cafe page, and hop over to Instagram and give us a follow also. Thank you all for your support! Lee

We are partnering with the Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail for a ribbon cutting Saturday, May 22 to celebrate our new butterfly garden behind the Cafe Campesino Coffeehouse.
Everyone is invited. There will be a plant sale with pollinator friendly plants, including 3 types of native milkweed.
Cafe Campesino is committed to investing in natural habitats for pollinators that create a healthy ecosystem - a trademark of agroforestry - which is how we get our green coffee.
Butterflies indicate a healthy environment and healthy ecosystem. The declining Monarch butterfly population is exactly why Rosalynn Carter started the butterfly trail!
If you want to be a butterfly ambassador and start your own butterfly garden, here are a few things to consider as you begin:
1. Plan your garden location and figure out sun and shade spots. Butterflies like to start their day basking in the sun, and if it’s too hot, they like to cool off in the shade.
2. They also like having spaces to hide from predators or hot sun. Their predators include dragonflies, lizards, toads, rats, birds, snakes, wasps and ants, so keep hiding spaces in mind such as proximity to dead or alive trees, rock piles. The North American Butterfly Association did a study that found butterflies do not use manmad butterfly houses, so don’t bother with those.
3. Research host plants and nectar plants (Milkweed doubles as both!) and perennials for butterfly gardens.
4. Do you have a place for water? Butterflies like a puddling station. Get a terra cotta saucer with gravel and some rocks for the butterflies to land on and drink mineralized water.
