The Open house starts today, I have extended the hours. The sale will be from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Today, tomorrow , Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Everything must go, hope to see you there.



Hi everyone, I wanted to let the community know that we will be having an open house at the Bake Shop this week to sell off all the equipment as well as all supplies. The open house will be Wednesday , Thursday and Friday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Everything is priced to sell from the ovens to the art work out front. Everyone is welcome whether you are a business or a home baker. Hope to see you there!



Did you know that bread has one of the longest histories in food? Although bread has evolved over the years to its current forms, the Ancient Egyptians were baking bread as far back as 8,000 BC.


Have you ever wondered why chiffon cakes are so airy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious? These types of cake actually have egg whites folded into the batter, creating their delicate texture.


The Wheat Montana Farms and Bakery holds the Guinness World Record for harvesting and milling wheat from the field and baking a loaf of bread in 8 minutes, 13 seconds.


Over the years, many superstitions formed around birthday cakes. One medieval English custom involved putting objects into the cake batter. The person finding the coin would be rich, while the one with the thimble would never marry.


I wanted to thank everyone for all the kind words, cards, flowers, etc. Surgery went very well and recovery is slow but steady! I miss all of our wonderful customers!



Even after Otto Frederick Rohwedder invented a bread-slicing machine in 1912, bakers were reluctant to use the machine because they were afraid that the bread would go stale. To solve this, in 1928, Rohwedder invented a machine that sliced and wrapped bread.

Hey friends, this is Jeff, wanted to update u on Lori's surgery. All went well ! She's very groggy and will likely be in the hospital for 3 to 5 days. Good news is that the doc feels real good about the surgery. It'll be a bit before she fully recovers but we're thankful that we've gotten past this hurdle. Thank u all for your thoughts and prayers. The Ambler Bake Shop would like to thank all of our wonderful customers for supporting our business. We have enjoyed being a part of your special events. Due to Lori needing immediate surgery and other personal reasons, we have decided to close the Bake Shop effective today.

We also want to say a special thank you to our wonderful staff, who created amazing cakes and help develop the daily offerings. We could not have done it without them. So thank you Emily, Tina, Amanda, Gabby and Spencer.

A very special thank you to our two children who joined us on this journey, thank you Adam and Chasity for being a part of the family business.

Again to all of our customers (friends) thank you for the support we have received, we will miss seeing each of you and the great conversations we have had!

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say thank you to all that have sent well wishes during my hospital stay. To celebrate, we made Lemon Ricotta cookies today, which are one of my favorite items. Come by and grab a couple! Thanks, Lori

Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your summer! The Bake Shop will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, so the bakers can have a little summer fun! However we are open today our normal hours of 8am to 6pm. We have some delicious pies baked off, our Tiramisu is back for this weekend. Did you know that mail-order fruitcakes began in American in 1913? These fruitcakes contained high amounts of fruit, nuts and honey and they were often saturated in brandy to enhance the preservation qualities of the cake.
