Happy Mother’s Day to ALL mamas and mama-to-be’s! We honor and celebrate YOU. 🌸

If you’ve been to July Moon, then you might have noticed this picture of my mom, Thi. It’s a picture of her while she was pregnant with me at a Malaysian refugee camp, where I was born. She and my dad escaped Vietnam and smuggled others on a wooden boat to this desolate place. In order for them to survive, she made Vietnamese drip coffee. Back then, ice were made in huge blocks. She had to manually crush them with her bare hands.

Before our soft opening, she arrived from Seattle (my hometown) and trained up our team on how to make her Vietnamese drip coffee. So the next time you order a July Moon Signature coffee, you honor my mom and her legacy.
