Nitro emerged from a developer’s pain, so there's a personal story behind its creation. Watch it in this 2 min video ▶️ or unfold to get the gist of it. 👇
“Once upon a time, Alexander Murauski, the developer, agreed to help a friend translate his app into English. Then, another Alex’s friend translated this app into German. This is how Alconost was born, and over the past 20 years we've localized many apps, games and websites.
An Alconost client once shared his pain with Alex: "If only I didn't have to write to a manager and wait for a reply but could simply submit my text for the translation and get it within an hour or two . . . ." Alex was also at pains to correspond with a dozen people to organize the translation of just a few lines of text. So, like a real developer, during long winter evenings he started writing a professional online translation service: Nitro Translate. Even the first version, albeit far from perfect, was liked by customers, many of whom still use the service.
Since then, Nitro has developed into a powerful service of human online translation for texts and files (Google Docs, Spreadsheets, HTML, STRINGS, JSON, CSV supported, and XML coming soon). In Nitro, 63% of orders are translated within two hours and 96% within 24 hours. The service employs approximately 200 professional native linguists who translate texts into 70+ languages. Nitro's clients include marketers, app and game developers and publishers, online retailers, and even a bakery in the US that translates employee safety instructions into Spanish.”
We hope you'll enjoy using Nitro as much as we like developing it.
