Root & Remedy Kitchen has grown into Better Bellies Bakery.
This change comes from a season of reflection and alignment. As I looked ahead to the next chapter of this one-woman micro bakery, I realized the name needed to more clearly reflect why it was created in the first place — not just what I make, but the purpose behind it.
Years ago, when my son needed changes to his diet, food became deeply intentional in our home. Meals weren’t just meals — they were meant to help him feel better. One phrase became part of our everyday life:
“Does this hurt your belly?”
“This will make your belly feel better.”
That belief shaped everything I learned in the kitchen. I began creating meals and baked goods that were allergen-friendly, dairy-free, and made with care — food that was comforting, inclusive, and gentle. Over time, that purpose became the foundation of this bakery.
As the business grew, it became clear that alignment mattered. The name needed to reflect the heart behind the food.
Better Bellies Bakery is the result of that alignment — a name rooted in real life, intention, and the belief that food should feel good in the body and nourishing to the soul.
This next chapter is about clarity and growth, while staying true to what has always mattered most.
