I'm retiring from making cakes...at least semi-retiring!!! Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to be taking a very long vacation from making cakes for a while. I am still transitioning to working full time, and making cakes will be more of an exception than the rule. I love making cakes and I love seeing and hearing about how much you enjoy my cake creations. However, I just do not have time anymore and when I get home from work, I want to enjoy my family with the little time we have left with our boys while they still live at home with us. Before we know it, the will be moved out and starting their own career, marriage and family. I just want to enjoy this time to the fullest while I still can! Here's my latest cake creation. A Scrabble Board birthday cake. It was a Chocolate Eclair Cake made with Vanilla-Almond Pound Cake, Bavarian Creme Filling, and Chocolate-Buttercream Icing with fondant "letter tiles." It was all edible. The cake was incredibly fun to make! Happy Birthday Dot Matthews DeVane! Lot's of love to you!
