Our Story
Chapter 1: In the Beginning
I needed a way to pay for mission trips that I wanted to go on with my school and church. So, Glass Slipper Baking was created from a love of baking and a desire to work for donations toward the mission trips. In the beginning, $1 homemade cupcakes were sold at my local church during Wednesday night meals and at school during the week. Then, the opportunity arose to place a bakery box filled with cupcakes at our favorite auto mechanic shop. As business grew, I was delivering special orders locally - birthdays, graduation parties, Father-Daughter Dances, and business parties. I can’t thank you all enough for the support you have given me in this endeavor. I have made and sold over 5K $1 cupcakes, and have fully paid for three mission trips!
Chapter 2: Culinary School Adventures
After much prayer, I entered culinary school at the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. I had to put the cupcake business on hold for now and focus on this new opportunity. I am proud to report that I have graduated recently with an Applied Associates of Science Degree in Culinary Arts! Yippee! I am now working on another degree in Baking and Pastry Arts - graduating May 2019. Thank you for supporting me thus far! Stay tuned for culinary greatness :)
