I want to take a minute to let everyone know where my blonde hair and fabulous sugar cookies come from. The recipe was originally my great grandmother Irene's, but the person who made them a Lenawee County staple is my mother. Every year we would make dozens and dozens of them to pass out at Christmas. She handed them out to her regulars downtown at Kate n' Emilee's (yes, THOSE cookies), then to her teachers at Sylvan Learning Center, her coworkers at Mission Sports Performance, and now her students who attend Tutoring with Connie.
She taught me how to make them and how to pour my love (with extra sprinkles) into every cookie. So it isn't right for me to take full credit for these delectable morsels. Thank you, Connie LaVoy. I owe you everything π
