Hello, FB Family!
This is Jessica, one of the two bakers behind Bake@325. This post is long overdue, because it’s a sad one to write. As many of you know, this bakery has been a labor of love for my sister and I. We started the bakery in 2023 with the hope of sharing some of our granny’s recipes with all of you. Abilene, you guys showed up for us BIG. 🤗 We never would have expected the amount of support that we received. So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you! 🥰
However, early this year, my sister and I both started experiencing separate/unrelated health issues. We tried so hard to fulfill all the orders for which we had already received deposits, but it became apparent that we could not continue to take new orders.
Although I am starting to recover, Kandis still has a long road ahead of her. She was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer in February and found out a week later that she was expecting. Then, two heartbeats were detected, so it’s twins! As you can imagine, this has been a roller-coaster of emotions for her and for the family. Whatever the future holds, with these two precious arrivals coming soon and pending cancer treatment, it is going to be ‘all hands on deck’ for our family to get through this season of change.
Kandis and I both continue to work full-time jobs as we always have, and it is with so much sadness that we have decided to step away from our little baking business. 😭 If you have tried to contact us for orders recently, we sincerely apologize if we haven’t been able to get back to you. Life has been unpredictable lately, to put it mildly.
We have put so much time, effort, and genuine care in to this business, it’s sad to see it end. Thank you again, everyone, for supporting us. It’s been an amazing journey, and we are facing whatever is around this next curve with hope in our hearts. Prayers welcome and appreciated ♥️
XOXO,
Jessica and Kandis
