Hey Guitar 🎸 and Piano 🎹 lovers !!!
(Learning to play in different keys)

You may know how to play your favourite song in the key of C but if asked to play it in a Bb (flat) key or Eb (flat) key you will have no idea of how to transition it to that key.

There is a three step process I use to train my students that when mastered the student is able to play a simple progression in any key he/she is asked to.
It is much simpler than thought and there is no "cramming" involved.

Just one principle or two you learn and those are the very principles to use to help you transition into any other key 💪🏾

This is how I groove with my students after training them to this level of developing their skills and ear.

Having the freedom to use your ear to interpret the music you hear and play it back is freeing and allows for creativity. Then you can learn how to read written music or write it yourself afterwards.

The joy of being a trainer💪💪

I encouraged my lovely trainees to get creative and create a tune or chord progression, and surely the keyboard player led the way, the guitarist followed and I decided to form lyrics on the fly.
We ended up turning this session into a song creation session.

With the youngsters or adults I help train I desire to see creativity and improvisational skills development ultimately. The training is both practical and backed up with theoretical principles, roadmaps and vectors to build on the journey.

For the little ones 5 - 8 years the journey is more focussed on building discipline, concentration, focus and coordination development fast while making it fun on the go.
