Food was too good that I didn't manage to capture all dishes but one photo that sums it all. Shanghainese and Zhejiang style of cuisine, this one Michelin star restaurant prepped the dishes just at the right portion and very balanced flavours too.
My personal favourite was the tofus and braised cabbages. The fam has a good meal overall with plenty thumbs ups ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Total cost about RM15. We popped by one of the branches (not their flagship store) which was still nice.

Finally, my salty taufoofar ! They should make this in Malaysia! And I love how light their is, could easily gobble up 3 of these gigantic crunchy deliciousness!

We arrived by 11.15am, and there was already a long queue outside of this rated and ChefO had been eating at this place few times and indeed it was spectacular. The shop was just 1Km away from our hotel.

We quickly got our seats and the patrons flooded in too, the entire restaurant was full within minutes. We ordered the clear soup broth noodles which oh my, the soup was so flavourful and sweet. Every slurp was so good! And the beef was melt in your mouth tender type, blended in well with the thick chewy noodles.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Baby Eu loved it so much that she got pi**ed at her dad for eating her remaining noodle portion LOL

The egg pancake with the fried beef slices with scallion was amazing too. Fluffy and light, with just the right amount of savouriness from the beef, and balancing the two together was the scallion!

Their signature dish is the braised pork tomato based noodle which we didn't order this time, as we are likely coming again with the broad family in few days time. Can't wait for round 2!!!!

Finally, after a day of travelling from airport to airport, plane to plane. We've arrived at , Da an district!
We just needed to have some good hot food and call it a night.
Just 300m away from our hotel is this highly rated dumplings which was packed with patrons and ...the beef dumplings in beef broth were ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5.

Baby Eu loved her braised tofu pork noodles as much as we did too, that she fed herself without needing us to feed her. I needed more comforting hot soup, and we added 1 more bowl of egg seaweed soup which was so hearty. Added in a tray of fried dumplings too!

SUPER SATISFYING meal, I highly recommend for foodiventurers to come here (location tagged on post).

Total damage : RM50+, dollar worthy indeed!

Every now and then, ChefO will buy special fishes to have meals together with close friends and tonight, we had a sultan fish cooked into 3 styles: steam, fried and even the scales fried into chips, went well with Green Label for the night.

We usually come to or to cook them, and tonight we chose close to home. The steamed chicken was fantastic as well, tender and flavourful!

Veges good as well. Yumzers! Hearty dinner meal tonight!

ChefO's big day! The week was just hectic but we made time for some good hearty at
Always wanted to come here but always missed making a reservation early, finally...we are here!

The beef was juicy and smokey, fantastic! But what stood out more was their chicken chunks, fuh...so flavourful and smokey!

Being a squid fan, I couldn't resist ordering one, apparently from and boy oh boy, it remained soft and just the right amount of chewiness.

Their condiments were very well prepped too, we loved the kimchi and bean sprouts, and the veg leaves they gave to wrap the meat were so fresh too.

Overall food experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 but only complaint was it was too hot. Even with the aircon indoors, be prepped to cook up a sweat!

Kanbe definitely stood out over many good places we frequent. A worthy revisit. Good job Kanbe!

ChefO's good friend came down for work and he is also a huge foodie fan, tonight we ventured to makan makan at this origin cuisine at with 2 excellent bottles to accompany our palate!

The soup was hearty, clean and the little one loved it too! The braised pork was average, but compensated by the freshly baked crab - fluffy and aromatic!

Missed the pict of our fish, which was not bad too. Perhaps steamed a little too long, was a little hard but still tasty. My favourite dish for the night was the pork ribs, super tender and juicy! A little fatty though, so I couldn't eat much. Anyway one rib was RM25 😵

The two bottles were excellent - and we concluded that the needs to be at least two decades old to let the character and flavours really blossom. And the #2001 was excellent for the night, only regret was the pairing was not the best with our dishes

Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Small cozy area with the streets decor and classic 80s music thumbs up to them for trying to put the ambience in too!

I had my bowl of which were so tender and the broth was excellent. Hearty, and clean! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 ChefO had his bowl of which were delicious as well. The pork pieces were so tender, and the pork balls were very flavourful.

Their signature was quite nice also. Fitted well with our cuppa milktea.

I would say it puts up a good fight to the HK beef noodles we frequented in

Twas a spectacular dinner at ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️/5 the entire place was so beautifully decorated in shades of red, it's starting to look a lot like Christmas!

ChefO's boss and family who owns this amazing restaurant treated us dinner. Best meal I had this year!

Started off champagne and chitchats, and babysitting Youneeke until we have the freshly sliced flown from place on the table... and oh boy, the tuna belly...melted in me mouth! Best I had this year. The was buttery sweet as well. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

The highlight of the dinner was the , my first time ever having this! the buttery smokey flavour, out of this world! Another melt in the mouth moment. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

ChefO brought 2 vinos, one of which #1990 is a legendary year for . I never had one aged 30 before! Chateau brown is one of the lesser known winery, but still the 1990, 33 year old Chateau brown was alive and fresh, slight lacking in some complexity, but overall.. well paired with dinner for the night.

This meal really gets the gear going that we are coming to the final month for the year!

It's Thanksgiving! ChefO got hold of this gigantic half of a 7kg river fish from his regular fish supplier in . I've never seen such a huge fish served on the table, obviously we could not cook ourselves at home and brought over to and called along family to enjoy the meal together (16 of us in total)

The chef did a fantastic job steaming the fish for us, and the best fish I have had in the longest time. The meat was so tender and the skin and collagen, so plump and juicy! I can't get over how tiny my finger was next to the fish.

The rest of the dishes were good but honestly, there were like side dishes only next to the fish king!

ChefO, youneeke and I went out for J*p dinner for my Big Hatchday. Sashimi was yumzers, lamb ribs very tender too! (But a little pricey for me), and interesting first hand tasting of the fried puffer fish!

Only downside was it is not family-friendly (no baby chair), but yes environment was really nice! Definitely plan ahead, and arrange babysitters if you need to come ever for a meal here.

The week has been harsh and rushed. Made a quick trip home to drop baby gurl back for 2 weeks.
Once stepping into it is as if all anxieties just flowed away and the air feels so fresh.

Headed for delicious and freshly fried ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5!!!

Nothing beats breakfast back home.
