Which side of HISTORY do you want to be on? 🚩
I love this girl.
And I love people like her.
But as expected, unfortunately her support is beginning to fade. People are slowly starting to label her a “trouble maker.”
And that is exactly how systems protect themselves.
Because in every fight for justice or change, there are always people from within the oppressed group itself who rise up to defend the very system that is hurting them.
No one talks enough about that part of history.
During slavery, there were enslaved people who hated the Maroons- the people who rebelled against the oppression. Slaves would warn their children to stay away from the “trouble makers.” Even while those same people were risking their lives, fighting for freedom.
You know why? Because oppression is never introduced as oppression.
It is first culture. And then it becomes law.
So anyone who challenges the system or the morality of the law and legal system, is automatically viewed as a nuisance, before they are ever seen as heroes.
The same thing happened to Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X and Nelson Mandela.
Before history honoured and saw them as symbols of courage, their own people and the wider international society criticized them. They were accused of disrupting the peace. And causing division in the nation. People viewed them as problematic.
And to me, this is the deepest tragedy of all. How
sometimes the greatest resistance to change does not always come from the oppressor themselves, but from the very people who desperately need that change the most.
I don't know what it is. Because I cannot relate.
It could be fear that causes this, the attachment to the conditioning, or even energies passed through generations, but what is so clear to me is that everytime someone rises up to address issues, something deep inside many, many people makes them try to protect a BROKEN SYSTEM.
It makes the oppressed, subconsciously defend oppression.
This is why historically real change has never come from the comfort of the majority. Only from a handful of brave people willing to sacrifice their reputation, the peace of mind and their own safety for the benefit of everyone else. The majority are usually silent. Some criticizing from their safe corners. Others watching and waiting to offer their support, ONLY when the "trouble makers" grow in momentum and favour.
The thing is this is 2026.
If we were blind before, articles like these should help us see clearly....
Before you comment negatively against someone who is risking it all to make a difference, first ask yourself, which side of history do you want to be on?
