The month of our blessed Ramadan is ending soon. We may or may not get another Ramadan in our lives. This may be our last Iftar and the increased opportunities for prayers and doas and reading the Quran. Muslims are set to celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri or Eid, which marks the end of Ramadhan.The countdown to Hari Raya/Eid has now begun. Preparing for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a joyous occasions for the children. For most people they look at it as the end of Ramadhan and the time to seek the blessed Lailatul Qadar. This special night is the night where we are given the opportunity to have all our sins forgiven. The significance of this beautiful night in which Allah has honoured us with attaining the reward of one thousand months of blessings, and His Mercy.

May Allah give us the strength, the power, the courage and the effort to do our best to obey Allah and to follow His teachings. May Allah guide us and may Allah strengthen our Iman, May Allah help us to live another year with sincerity and devotion. Aamin..

Ramadan is a month of fasting, charity and improving your relationship with your Creator. Muslim abstains from food and drink between dawn and sunset for 30 days. Children, pregnant women, the elderly and those who are ill or who are travelling don't have to fast. It is a good practice for kids to fast so as to get them into the routine and also to help them understand why we fast.

The aroma of cookies fresh from the oven will always fill the air during Ramadhan. Moms, sisters everyone will try to hone their baking skills in the kitchen. Baking homemade cookies is a tradition most of us cannot do without. Even for the children, we would want them to experience the same happiness that we experienced as a child. This is something we are used to be doing at home during Hari Raya, and without it, it would feel like something is missing. Salam sayang semua
