Happy to reminisce #2: No better time than now to remember this cake, made for an Army, after I survived a 4.5-hour bloodbath booking tickets for BTS. I emerged from a cyber-cafe dishevelled, disoriented, and with only Category 5 tickets (waaay at the back) to show for it.
But hey, at least I get to see them in the flesh - 7 Korean popstars I used to belittle but have since repented in sackcloth and ashes. I love these guys, them and their slick moves, puppy-like personalities, airport sightings, livestreams and vlogs that are about nothing yet mean everything.
This cake was made for a bride who chose me because I’m Army. Armys are forever looking out for one another 🙌. She was also cool enough to let me try whatever I wanted. The decor was inspired by weaved rattan strips. Just cut lots of wafer paper, stack them together and create interesting loops. Whenever I see this cake I think of BTS and how, liking the same thing is always the fastest way to someone else’s heart.
