Knotty Munch turns 1!
Yes! One Year Old! How time flies. Looking back, I'm amazed that I even began this journey. I'm truly grateful and appreciative of all the love and support shown, and all these have helped power me through this tumultuous time.
I've previously prepared answers for a set of interview questions but it was never publish. So here it is, let me share with you a little bit more about Knotty Munch. (Not posting the questions, just the response from me)

1. I used to bake as a hobby back in tertiary school. Somehow, I stopped as I got busy with other things and forgot about it. Skipped forward to 2020, my work was going well as a freelance theatre practitioner until Covid happened. All work was robbed from me and I was left hanging. Stuck with a performing arts degree with no job or even potential gigs. One day during the CB period, I was craving for cookies from a particular store but it was not exactly pocket friendly, so I decided to experiment and try to bake it on my own. After a few tries, amongst cakes and other pastries, I finally got a certain consistency for cookies. Shared it with friends and family and they all loved it! Knowing that my work was affected, they encouraged me to try selling it, and thus, Knotty Munch was born!
2. My wife came up with this name because initially I wanted to sell some home gym equipments with healthy cookies. But it was too much work so I ditched the equipment idea. Hahaha. And the cookies ended up tastier than I thought.
3. Back in July 2020 when I started, it became full time for a while as I did not have any other work. When phase 2 started, my industry slowly opened up and I was starting to get some jobs, so Knotty Munch became more part-time, even until now.
4. The best sellers are Lychee Rum & Cranberry bits and Sea Salt Double Choc. It's somehow very tough to top this two flavors!
5. I remind myself something someone once said to me. "Hard Work, Tenacity, and Talent. You only need 2 out of these 3 qualities to succeed in whatever you do." I tend to believe I'm more of the Hard Work and Tenacity kind of person.
6. Yes, my business was born out of the Covid situation!
7. To be honest, Iβm still learning. But if thereβs one takeaway, do NOT handle any kitchen tools if youβre exhausted!
8. At this point, I just hope I can keep baking. Maybe, just maybe, I could open up a cafe one day.
9. You never try, you never know. Dip your toes in and you can find out the temperature of the water. Dive in and you might get hurt, but youβll soon marvel at the things you discover.

Although I'm baking much lesser now, I'm still keeping it going. Not stopping. So hit me up if you'd like some cookies!
