This is the Hojicha Shokupan with Black Sesame Paste. The hojicha aroma was undetectable but the roasted black sesame swirl were tantalizing.

Some cheat Panettone for the festive season...

Even though this version doesn't require maintaining a starter dough, it was still quite laborious! From kneading to rising, the journey of creating these homemade Panettone was a therapeutic process and a test of trusting my baker's instincts!

Finally started CNY baking and this year, I only managed to make Kueh Lapis! Itโ€™s truly a labor of love but I enjoyed the process. My version this year includes mixed dried fruits.
