14 July 2025 - It was a day to remember…

PART 1: Last minute meet-up with @ Professor Brawn Tampines outlet.

I have learnt a term from Chat Gpt-
Emotional Honesty.

Being honest with your emotions.
Acknowledging, not avoiding.
Not blaming
Not rationalising.

& also Healthy Crush? Is there such a term.

So i decided to meet up with my secondary school CRUSH b4 he flies back to 🇺🇸.

It was the best decision I hv made abt managing my own emotions instead of shovelling it away.

It was checking-in a dear friend without any expectations whatsoever.

And i texted ‘we better meet b4 we become non-singles again!’

I reckon we r old enough at 51 that it is ok to say .. Yes u do like someone… n it stops at that.

Is friendship in its highest form. Ahem.

And yes we didn’t take any photos again…

The songs by Lewis Capaldi Wish you the best & Adele’s Someone like you
came to my mind…. But they have the sadness to it.
& that isn’t the way I want to remember our friendship…

PART 2: catch up with .koh.796

Mayb Part 1 was extra joy.
Part 2 was super hilarious.

Even the glass door PULL sign became a PUSH sign for me??? I cldn get out of the bldg…

We laughed so so much that Jasmine’s face turned red & my cheeks ached.

& I still have the sanity to force her to agree that making pple laugh is my forte, GIFT from GOD.

She agreed 200%. That is a true friend who just continued my insanity.

& I could still add Yah … is indeed loss…. I’m so funny …
Then we rolled into more laughter.

It was a memorable day for me.
& Jasmine bade me goodbye till we meet for next gathering… @ TBB …. with yet another funny & good friend …. ❤️❤️❤️

The day has finally arrived on 9July 2025.

It takes a village to support a sen kid.
& it definitely takes a SEN team in NIE to support me.

I used to joke with my lecturers that Annie must b famous in their dept.
During tutorials, tutors will make sure Annie is within their sight and gave me time to ask questions.

TLC from them was a privilege.
Even the library extended help…

And 24/7 access granted.
& Dedicated Counsellor till I graduated….
Even the NTU medical doc also bcame another counsellor..
I was indeed granted different and many privileges…

Aaaargh … it was love ❤️ n more love… & receiving such attention was uneasy and overwhelming for me.

& my previous TG1 classmates continual cheering with whatsapp messages made the semester passed swiftly or in a dazed manner??

GOD has shown me unmerited favour …

& my family has nvr supported me in this crazy endeavour of mine to study again at NIE at age 50! They were against of this adventure.

The last minute Singaporean strikes again.

Using the hp to guide me, I ran to Hemköp. I am definitely not a runner.

As I ran, I saw the majestic horses statue high up on the buildings. I could still find time to snap some photos.

The streets were empty.

“What am I doing?” I asked myself.

I wanted to buy the Swedish cheese and more crisp bread for friends. I wonder is it the bread or cheese is more impt or squeezing time out for my last day here more impt???

Time is finite Annie … I laughed to myself as I dashed to the supermarket. It may close soon.

The tall security guards helped me to find …yeast … It was so funny. Who on earth buy yeast at 11 pm anyway? To bring back Spore?? Yes ! Me without doubt. Maybe Swedish yeast is different???

I didn’t find the Swedish cheese but i certainly bought many boxes of crisp bread back… which I just happened to see at Cold storage yesterday !!!! LOL x10

My policy has always been - buy what I cannot find in Spore…

It has been a week of ☔️?

Lots of work to be completed.

Broke record- did none!! 💆🏻‍♀️

This is the laziest breakfast-
Some paste- too many ingredients to list..BUT is v nice.
Cream crackers to dip.
1 Nutella biscuit - this isn’t healthy BUT i like!
Korean ginseng stick - my 2025 SOP

Roobois tea - I need tea for brekkie- to ease TBB teh tarik withdrawal.

Two Ajwa dates - Fasting month is my fav FEASTING month!

New growth..

I do not have much patience with anything/one princessy in nature. This is the ONE & ONLY rose plant I hv.

This rose is named after a dear fren who has Rose characteristics - special n finicky. LOL

& last night I spotted a new growth.
It is THRIVING despite my neglect.

Made my day so sweet.😍.
& I said a prayer for this fren too ❤️.

2024 Thanksgiving post

It has been a year of lows n highs.

8 Jan- marks the day I was admitted to SGH, unwillingly.

My ardent support -bro Alex who visited me daily wo fail for 2weeks. My mum who cooked for me during my stay at their hse

Dm from frens like Sharon & “I love you Ms Toh”; , & - felt like heaven coins.

- my childhood bestie - the kind of unwavering love is undeserving. & Xiang- these r pple who know me better than myself.

- You r the sweetest loving fren I ever had. & - who never fail to amaze me in unpacking my emotions.

2024 - also had a fair share of fun as I finally started my 1st wwoof experience- GN123 Dandelion sch- the kindest souls that I hv ever met. We agreed we must meet again- either in Jinju or Spore.

July- Dec - were spent waitressing at Tiong Bahru Bakery , Tampines 1 outlet. Fabulous team that taught me team work, love in action. The kind of joy in serving & bringing pple joy thr food was pure fun and joy to me. Never a dull day.
Gonna miss them alot - Chong, Asri, Aizul & Finn.
Special shoutout to Netty who is so sweet n quizzed me abt being single. Her words “If ever u need someone to talk with, we r here 4u Annie” was like a balm to the heart.

- for showing me faith in God. Our friendship is v dear to me. You hv been a blessing more & than u can imagine. I love u ..&always available 4u.

18 Dec marks the last day of Counselling@NIE- It shall continue in 2025 till I graduate. Eternally grateful to Dr Liz, Dr Carol, Dr Tan SY, Dr C Tan—- they rally around me during my difficult times, helping me to grasp what is happening, peeling the layers, firm yet patient.

One day I asked Dr Carol why is she spending so much effort in helping me. Her answer of “You are worth it.”touched me a lot.

Dr Liz assurance of her availability 24/7 almost make me tear over lunch. They believe in me more than myself.

My NIE frens- Diy, Din, Karthik, WF, 2 Van& Elaine!!❤️❤️
