When our home-bakes become one of the little battle tools that help someone fight their giants and make them feel better.. that’s meaningful. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be homebakes - your smile, a timely word of hope, a sincere pat on the shoulder, or even your quiet presence can give someone real strength.
This Christmas, it may not be the gifts that matter most, but your presence - the kind that truly brightens someone’s heart.

In Chinese we say: “做彼此的光. 你拿出的善意会变成别人心头暖. 别人点亮的温柔也会成为你前行的勇气.”
It means: Be a light to one another. The kindness you offer becomes warmth in someone’s heart, and the gentleness others shine on you becomes the courage you carry forward.”

Sometimes the simplest decor speaks the loudest. Nothing extravagant, yet the atmosphere changes instantly. You don’t need a house full of ornaments to feel festive, even a small arrangement on the table - a vase of greens with fairy lights or with a ribbon or two tied, makes the space glows with warmth. That’s the beauty & power of simplicity.

Kueh kosui isn’t a difficult kueh to make, but it’s probably one of the hardest to perfect.
Getting the right texture and sweetness is challenging - bouncy yet soft, sweet enough to release the Gula Melaka fragrance yet never overly sweet.

“刚刚好”… is a skill we spend a lifetime learning - whether in making kueh or in living life. It’s an ongoing lesson.

So we learn to strike a balance between perfection and the bare minimum to arrive at “good enough.”
Pursue excellence, not perfection.

In Chinese, 找一个平衡点, 不必为了‘极致’来折磨自己. 😂 means find a balance - there’s really no need to torture yourself in the name of ‘perfection’.

Small berries, big lessons

Hi everyone 💕,

It has been a long while since O’dainty baked. This time, we baked for the coming Mooncake Festival for our family and friends. The kitchen was once again filled with fun, laughter, and the joy that reminded us of those earlier baking days.
Many of you have been asking when we will reopen orders especially for our kuehs. Truth is, with our heavy work commitments, we haven’t been able to fix a time. We remain deeply grateful to everyone who supported us in one way or another, especially during the Covid season. Along the way, we not only built new friendships but also found joy knowing that our bakes could bring smiles.
We won’t be opening orders and probably not in the near future either. But we will keep this space alive, and from time to time, we may share our little home-bake stories. 🥰
Thank you for journeying with us. We are truly touched by your love and support. Wishing you a meaningful Mooncake Festival.. may it be filled with sweet moments and cherished time with your loved ones. 💛

Happy November 1st!

We snuggle into November’s cozy vibe with Earl grey extravaganza - Earl grey chiffon frosted with infused Earl Grey dairy whipping cream and sprinkled with yuzu peel bits for a burst of citrus. Finished with rich dark chocolate ganache drizzle and garnished with Earl Grey jelly cubes!

Only 2 months left to tie up loose ends! Let’s finish strong and make this year shine! 💕

When work gets overwhelming, it's even more important to make time for activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. Making yibua and ondeh,basically playing with “dough”, is our way to unwind. That’s our definition of self care. 💕

Many have been asking, and we appreciate your patience. We are still ironing out our schedule, and hopefully will open up for orders of your beloved salat and tapioca kueh soon!
