Named after a rose. Shaped like a fruit. 🌹
The journey of Gulab Jamun, from Persia, to India, to Stockholm 👉

🇮🇷 Its roots are widely traced to Persia: small balls of dough, fried and soaked in rose-scented syrup.
🇮🇳 In India it got its name: gul (flower) + ab (water) = gulab, rose water. Jamun is the dark fruit it resembles.
✨ Legend says it was perfected in the Mughal royal kitchens: rolled by hand, fried slow, soaked in warm syrup.
🇸🇪 And today it's here, handmade at Anmol in Spånga.
