I honour this day with cake. 🦋
Dolly Parton wasn’t just a singer/songwriter with a godsent voice and a cracking body. Dolly was a humanitarian at heart, a vocal lgbtq+ ally, and gave generously to a multitude of good causes in areas such as children’s education, disaster relief and environmental conservation support. Closest to my own heart was her “Imagination Library” dedicated to inspiring the love of reading. In the last 30+ years she has donated over 330 million books to ensure children had books in their homes regardless of their family’s income. We should all be a bit more like Dolly! 🤍
