Hoy es un día histórico para Rincón con la apertura oficial de la nueva rampa municipal en La Marina. ⚓️🌊

Felicidades al Municipio de Rincón y a nuestro alcalde, Carlos López, por hacer realidad este importante proyecto para nuestra comunidad.

También quiero agradecer al P. José Gustavo Torres Vega por la bendición de esta nueva facilidad, que servirá a pescadores, navegantes y futuras generaciones de rincoeños.

Uno de los momentos más bonitos de la inauguración fue ver que la primera embarcación en utilizar la rampa fue la de un pescador local que, según cuentan, le enseñó a pescar al alcalde cuando era joven. Un detalle que refleja nuestras raíces y el valor de nuestra gente.

Aunque existen opiniones diferentes sobre este proyecto, como residente de Rincón me alegra ver que nuestros recursos se están invirtiendo en obras que benefician a la comunidad. Muchas personas quizás no conocen todo el trabajo, la planificación y el esfuerzo que tomó hacer esto posible.

Gracias a todos los que aportaron para que este día llegara. ¡Que esta nueva rampa traiga mucho progreso, seguridad y oportunidades para nuestra comunidad marítima y pesquera! 🎣🚤



Today marks a historic day for Rincón as the new municipal boat ramp at La Marina officially opens to the public. Congratulations to the people of Rincón and to the Municipality for making this project a reality. The new ramp was officially inaugurated today, June 2, 2026.

Special thanks to Mayor Carlos D. López Bonilla for his leadership and commitment to improving access for our fishermen, boaters, and future generations. Thank you as well to P. José Gustavo Torres Vega for blessing this important project.

A beautiful touch to today's ceremony was seeing the first vessel use the ramp; a local fisherman who once taught the mayor how to fish when he was young. Moments like these remind us that Rincón's history is built on community, tradition, and respect for those who came before us.

While projects like this may not always receive universal support, as a resident I appreciate seeing public investments that benefit our community. Many people may not realize the amount of planning, acquisition, and work required to bring a project like this to completion.

Thank you to everyone who played a role in making this happen, including the Government of Puerto Rico and all those who supported the effort. Here's to a brighter future for Rincón's boating and fishing community. ⚓️🌊🎣
