๐๐ฆ๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐๐ก๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐ข ๐๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ข (๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐) ๐ฐ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฌ:
The background of this verse is that during the pre-Islamic period, when polytheists sacrificed animals, they would sprinkle the blood onto the walls of the Kaaba. Upon seeing this, some Muslims intended to do the same. It was at this moment that this verse was revealed. Abu Salih narrated this from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). Commentators have explained the meaning of this verse: neither the blood nor the meat of sacrificial animals reaches Allah; only Taqwa (๐ฉ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ฒ/๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ) reaches Him. This refers to the purity of the action and the intention to seek only the pleasure of Allah.
๐๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ฌ ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ซ: if there is no Taqwa, Allah does not accept the sacrifice. It is a warning that if the intention behind an action is not correct, that action holds no benefit.
