Three hundred and sixty five days later, here we are ๐ญ I really can't believe how this once non-existent cookie shop of mine grew in a year!
It may sound cliche, but if you told me that I'll be baking and selling cookies a year ago, I probably wouldn't believe you cause I didn't even know how to bake back then. I only learned how to bake during quarantine ๐ After my first try of baking cookies from scratch, my family told me that it tasted good and that I should try selling them. At first, I thought it was unrealistic because it was my first time baking and I didn't even know if I could do that recipe again (This was literally my face when they told me ๐ฅด) But after giving it some thought, I decided I'll do it because it wouldn't hurt me if I tried. Plus, I'll also be able to help my family financially. The first few months were great, and I baked many cookies, but it got a little more challenging once the school year started. I was having a hard time coping with online school. With the workload that was given to me, I decided to stop baking for a while. Managing a business is very hard, especially if you do most of the work. From making the dough, baking, answering your messages, to coming up with new flavors, etc. I'm sharing this with you to let you know that businesses have bumpy rides, and it's not always sunshine and rainbows in the kitchen. Despite this, I tried to get back and accept orders again after almost 4 months of not baking. It was hard to get orders again since I was MIA for quite some time. Day by day, I learned how to manage my time well for my academics, extra-curriculars, and business. It's definitely not easy to handle, but I know what I'm doing is worth it because I enjoy it. I'm also happy I can now help my family financially, even for a small amount. โค๏ธ
