For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous personβ€”though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to dieβ€” but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. Romans 5:6-10

My Lord, Jesus Christ, You have made this journey to die for me with unspeakable love; and I have so many times ungratefully abandoned You. But now I love You with all my heart; and, because I love You, I am sincerely sorry for ever having offended You. Pardon me, my God, and permit me to accompany You on this journey.

1. Jesus is condemned to death: He accepted his fate to save us.

2. Jesus carries the cross: He embraces the instrument of death.

3. Jesus falls the first time: He falls under the weight of our sins.

4. Jesus meets his Mother: A moment of profound sorrow.

5. Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus: We are called to help carry the cross.

6. Veronica wipes the face of Jesus: Showing compassion and bravery.

7. Jesus falls the second time: He rises to continue the journey.

8. Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem: He warns them of coming tribulations.
