10 years ago, someone trusted us with her daughter’s 7th birthday sweets. With limited resources and few baking stores opened that time, I immediately accepted her request to bake 100 pcs of Hello Kitty cupcakes. With a small oven that could only bake 6 cupcakes at a time and close to zero knowledge in baking and decorating, I happily made her orders.
My baking journey is not as easy as it looks. There were times that I felt overwhelmed with the waves of orders. Most of the time, I’m afraid that I am not good enough to create the cakes they wanted. But God has been good to me, giving me kind and very loving clients that turned into friends and some friends and family that became my sukis. Over those years I was lucky to build my portfolio and just as any other bakers I know, I also encountered failures, i.e. burned/ overcooked or even undercooked bakes. But these experiences pushed me to become a better one.
