“better than J******e” -Lael, 9yo

Last month, I made spaghetti for the office, and everyone was wowed by the generous amount of cheese. “Cheese with a little spaghetti” daw! 😂 The tray seemed bottomless too—everyone had their fill and even had some packed to take home.
One of them was Lael’s mom, who brought some home for him to try. Lael, who’s quite a picky eater, loved it so much that the next day, his mom told me he said it was better than J******e—the ultimate spaghetti standard for kids and Filipinos in general.
Fast-forward to August: his mom ordered the same spaghetti for Lael’s birthday. Before his first bite, I asked, “Tell me if it still tastes the same as you remember.”
He took a bite… and just kept nodding enthusiastically while eating. 🥹
These little moments are truly fulfilling, especially when they come from a kid—because kids don’t lie. 🙂↕️😉
