PANETTONE - from the name itself which involves two Italian words Pane (bread) and Panetto (cake) , is famously known in Italy as the Italian Christmas cake. So similar with the fruit cake because of the raisins and candied fruit peels and yet so different because its crumb is mote of a bread than a cake.

Unlike my previous panettone (including those I made when I was still working with a Belgian firm), this one is made in a traditional Italian way as shown in the video. Thanks to YouTube, I was able to find a recipe that includes the making of my own candied fruit peels and pastes.

Our version of LIÈGE WAFFLE - this waffle is a variety of the famous yeasted Belgian waffle that you can rarely avail of in m9st of the restaurants and other food establishments offering waffles and pancakes.that are usually cake waffles.

It got it's name from the place where it originates, the city of Liège.Unlike the Belgian waffles found in Brussels that are popularly served with different types of toppings like fruits, creams, chocolates,and drizzled with sweet fruity syrup or sauces such as chocolate creme Anglais, Liege waffle is just cooked plain with pearl sugar thar oozes out as it melts while in the waffle maker.
