POV: When you know it's Rested Dough pickup weekend. 📦✨
This marks our second weekend of orders since launch, and this time, we’ve upgraded our packaging! Looking through these photos, we were blown away—it wasn't just one massive table-clearing order; we had a couple of orders claiming two full slabs and 3-4 boxes of cakelets to share with your homes.
Seeing these stacks reminds us exactly why we started. The goal was simple: craft bread that was safe, anti-inflammatory, and easy on the stomach for our household. We spent weeks testing the dough, making sure the inside—the crumb, the fermentation, the ingredients—was perfectly balanced. And when it came time to finally share it with others, we wanted that same care and intention reflected in every detail of the packaging.
Our doughs take over 24 hours of resting to achieve maximum flavor and become a bake that is safe for people like us, who manage complex health issues at home. Rushing the final presentation just wouldn't feel right. That’s why every single box that leaves our kitchen is hand-tied with twine, and every care card is placed with strict intention.
It’s a bit of a Sunday reflection on life, isn't it? For months, or even a few years now, we've grown quieter as life has felt nothing but cold and hard. In hindsight, those harsh, seemingly secluded seasons led to this pleasantly surprising new chapter. It feels like we were going through our own cold-fermentation (and in many facets, we still are). But we can finally taste, see, and feel that this isolation was, in its own form, a necessary rest—one that prepared us for this beautiful new season we get to enjoy now.
