Sa loob ng labing-apat na taon, inialay ni Sir Peter ang kanyang puso, panahon, at talento sa pagsasayaw at pagdiriwang ng Kulturang Pilipino.
Over the course of 14 years, La Salle Dance Company – Folk’s artistic director, Mr. Peter Alcedo Jr., has been a mentor, a teacher, a leader, and one of the pillars that has helped shape the company into what it now stands as today.
From establishing the La Salle Dance Company – Folk from the ground up, Sir Peter has dedicated his passion and expertise to creating a company rooted in the celebration and preservation of Filipino culture. Through the years, he has guided generations of dancers from different walks of life through countless rehearsals, concerts, and competitions, leaving behind lessons that will linger both on and off the stage.
Beyond the company, Sir Peter’s journey with De La Salle University covers the span of two decades, marking 21 years of service to the institution and the Lasallian community. This stands as a testament to his deep dedication to the arts and changing the many lives of students, staff, and individuals he has worked with. As Sir Peter turns the page with his life’s brand-new chapter, we look back with gratitude at the years he has devoted to us.
To Sir Peter, thank you for believing in LSDC–Folk from its very beginning and for giving so much of yourself to the company we are today. As the curtains close, your lessons and love will always find their way to every dancer that continues to learn and celebrate Philippine culture through dance.
