They don’t warn you about the first baby.
How the moment you hold them,
a whole new version of you is born too.

No one hands you a manual.
No one tells you which cries mean what.
You just learn as you go
with shaky hands, heavy eyes,
and a heart that suddenly beats outside your body.

They don’t warn you how raw it feels,
to love so fiercely while questioning if you’re enough.
How you’ll cry in the shower,
then wipe your tears and rock them back to sleep
as if you weren’t breaking inside.

They don’t warn you that motherhood
isn’t just about raising a child
it’s about re raising yourself.
Learning patience you never had.
Finding strength you didn’t know existed.
Discovering a love that remakes you
over and over again.

The first baby doesn’t just change your life.
They change you.
Forever.

How to Prepare Your Kids for the World

1. Teach them to think, not just obey.
2. Show them how to fail gracefully and try again.
3. Encourage curiosity over conformity.
4. Help them manage money before they make it.
5. Model empathy, not just talk about it.
6. Teach them to stand up for themselves – kindly.
7. Make sure they know the value of hard work.
8. Help them set boundaries without guilt.
9. Let them experience consequences early.
10. Show them how to find purpose, not just a paycheck.

You must understand that sometimes there are days that you're not in the mood to talk to anyone even if it's your relatives and your closest friends. You will ignore talking to a certain someone in person, on phone calls, on chat conversations, even on social media. Not because you don't care and not because you're in a bad mood either but because sometimes your mind and body craves silence and inner peace.
Sometimes, there are days that your soul needs silence and solitude for you to figure things out.
I want you to know that if you find yourself spacing out and distancing yourself from other people it doesn't mean that you're a bad and mean person.
You're a human and it's okay to have a meltdown and you don't owe anyone explanations for prioritizing what your soul deserves.
