Hi everyone just letting you all know May's newsletter is out so make sure you get one from your dojo.
Word of the month is Sensei which means person born before another or one who comes before.
It is a respectful title for a high ranking instructor (often a black belt) who guides students in technical skills, discipline and character development.

Sensei would like to thank everyone for their support and understanding over the postponement of the tournament.
The decision was not made easily but with fuel crises and airline cancellations, not knowing if teams would make it up.
It was the right thing to do at the time.
September's Tournament is booked and confirmed so will look forward to seeing everyone and having a great Tournament day. Details will follow closer to time.

FEE'S
May's fees are due now and are to be paid in the first week of the month.
Anybody going for their KYU GRADING on SATURDAY 16TH of MAY must have grading fees and monthly fees paid before grading.
All Black Belts that are grading on the 23rd May your grading fees should be paid NOW as well.

DOJO KUN:
The Dojo Kun will be said and taught each training, especially to our Kyu grades starting from our junior white/red belts.
These are guiding principles to help develop character, discipline and respect.
It is a traditional Karate meaning as is taught in most martial arts, so it's up to all dojo's to carry on this tradition by teaching it at the early stage of learning Karate.
This will be taught by the Senpai taking the training.

DOJO ETIQUETTE:
Thank you everyone for doing a great job in keeping the Dojo clean and tidy on a regular basis.
Remember this job is for EVERYONE.
