This Saturday, 2Birds will be back at the Clutha Community Market, supporting the Clutha Food Hub Book Sale.

We'll be there from 10am to 2pm with a table full of fresh baking, including:

Pull-Apart Herby Cheesy Focaccia - $15
Slow-Roasted Garlic Focaccia - $12
Rosemary Sea Salt Focaccia - $12
Black Doris Plum Duff Brioche Scrolls - $6 each
Sourdough Ciabatta Loaves - $7 each
Pretzels - $4 each or 6 for $22
Brookies - $5 each or $35 for a slab
Babka - $6 each

Plus a few extra goodies and market-day specials, depending on what comes out of the kitchen this week!

Whether you're coming to browse the book sale, visit the market, or simply enjoy a Saturday morning out, we'd love to see you.

Mother’s Day market menu is here!!!

I’ll be at Clutha Community Market Mother’s Day Weekend Market on Saturday 9th May with a beautiful line-up of fresh bakes, sweet treats, and a few favourites returning to the table.

This week’s menu:

Sourdough Ciabatta Loaves $7 each

Sourdough Bagels $4 each or 6 for $22
Pretzels $4 each or 6 for $22

Black Doris Plum Duff Brioche Scrolls $6 each

Brookies $5 each or $35 for a slab (no judgement, its delicious 🤤😆)

Pull-Apart Herby Cheesy Focaccia $15
Slow-Roasted Garlic Focaccia $12
Rosemary Sea Salt Focaccia $12
Babka $6 each
Sugar-Crusted Scones 2 for $6

If there’s something you’d love set aside, send me a message and I’ll have it ready for you to collect at the market.

Well… the brookie won by such a margin that I had time for another little play in the kitchen 😅

So today’s test bake was these beauties…

Black Doris Plum Duff brioche scrolls
(Thanks The Clutha Fruit Fairy for the plums 💗)

Soft buttery brioche, filled with jammy spiced plum, cinnamon and port-soaked fruits, and just the thing for a chilly autumn morning.

Safe to say… they’ll be joining the brookies at the Mother’s Day market

Very limited numbers available. $6 each.

Safe to say… the brookie won that one 😅

So I got straight into it.

Brown butter, chewy cookie, fudgy brownie… and that gooey middle straight out of the oven.

I can see why this got the votes.

Fruit Brioche Scroll
Thinking something along the lines of a nectarine compote… or maybe a spiced plum duff-style filling? 🤤

2Birds Brookie
Crisp edges, fudgy middle, and that brown butter richness… it’s a bit hard to stop at one

Sunday Swirl Loaf
Vanilla and chocolate swirled through… pretty perfect for making Mums breakfast french toast!

Alright… these ones turned out pretty bloody lovely if I’m honest 😅

🍊 Orange-soaked fruit scones with a light sugar crust on top… soft in the middle, a wee bit of crunch on top, and very hard to stop at one.

They were meant to be for “taste testing” but a couple may have disappeared straight out of the kitchen…

I’ll be bringing these along to the Mother’s Day Clutha Community Market on Saturday 9th May

They’ll be $6 for two.

If anyone local is keen to grab some before then for a wee trial run (purely for research purposes of course), flick me a message.

Perfect with a good slab of butter and a hot cuppa.
