Garlic lovers, this one’s for you! 🧄🌿

Our Garlic & Rosemary Sourdough is packed full of golden confit garlic and fresh rosemary, all tucked into our beautiful sourdough dough and ready to bake into something seriously delicious.

Think crispy crust, chewy sourdough crumb, sweet, buttery garlic and fragrant rosemary in every bite.

Honestly, this one doesn’t need much else. A generous slather of butter and you’re sorted.

Who else would happily eat this straight out of the oven?

Saturday morning calls for fresh bread! We’ll be back at Te Pou O Mata Au tomorrow from 10am–12pm with a table full of Bannerman’s goodies.

Tart, sharp, sweet and absolutely bloody brilliant when it gets anywhere near the Bannerman’s kitchen.

And of course… we all know what that means.

🔪 A good bread knife makes a bigger difference than you think…

There’s nothing worse than having a beautiful loaf of sourdough, only to crush the crust and tear through the crumb when you slice it. And if you’ve ever tried cutting through one of our crustier loaves, you’ll know they can put a knife to the test! 😂

That’s actually why we decided to have our Bannerman’s bread knife made.

It’s the knife we wanted to use ourselves — a proper 10-inch serrated bread knife with a German 1.4116 stainless steel blade and a redwood handle.

And yes… we’ve put it through a LOT of bread.

We’ve also given it a proper Bannerman’s presentation box, because we reckon it makes a pretty good gift for the bread lover in your life. 🎁

But now I’m curious…

What’s the most annoying thing about cutting bread with your current knife?

We’re back at Te Pou O Mata Au tomorrow from 10am–12pm for our pop-up, and we’d love to see you there.

WE’RE BACK THIS WEEKEND!

We’ve missed you! After a little break, the dough is rising, the ovens are warming up and we’re very excited to be back baking for you.

This Saturday, we’ll be back at Te Pou O Mata Au from 10am–12pm for our Bannerman’s pop-up.

Fresh sourdough, pastries, treats and all the good stuff — baked fresh and ready to go.

If you’ve been missing your Bannerman’s fix, come and see us! And please share this post and spread the word — we’d love to see plenty of familiar faces (and some new ones too!).

IMPORTANT WEEKEND UPDATE

Just a little heads up from us — Bannerman’s will be closed this weekend, Friday 18th – Sunday 20th September.

That means there will be no orders or Saturday pop-up this weekend while we take a little time away with family.

But don’t worry — you can still get your Bannerman’s fix!

All Balclutha, Lawrence & Milton orders and subscriptions will be processed Thursday instead, ready for Thursday collection/delivery.

I’ve also added Thursday as a collection option on the website, so if you’d normally collect on Saturday, simply select Thursday collection when placing your order.

Please have all orders in by Wednesday at 12pm so I can get everything organised for Thursday.

If you have a subscription and would prefer to skip this week, you can do that through your subscription — or just flick me a message and I can sort it for you.

The van is getting loaded and there’s some seriously good stuff coming with me to Te Pou O Mata Au today, 10am–12pm.

On the table this morning:

…and a few other treats because apparently I don’t know how to keep things simple!
