“Ceremonial grade” is not a standard in Japan. Instead, matcha for drinking is classified as “Koicha” (thick tea) or “Usucha” (thin Tea). When grades go down, the taste goes slightly more astringent and aroma goes less profound. We have chosen three kinds of matcha for you.
Yugen又玄40g can - Є25
It is the highest grade in Usucha (thin tea). It has refreshing aroma, light bitterness and umami harmonize together.
Suitable for Usucha (thin tea)
Kinrin 金輪40g can - Є33
It is the elementary grade in Koicha. Refreshing, mellow and full bodied.
Suitable for both Usucha (thin tea) & Koicha (thick tea)
Kiun 喜雲40g can - Є40
Matcha favoured by renowned tea school Urasenke Konnichian (裏千家). Try and have an authentic taste of Japanese tea ceremony!
