So long, farewell …
I hate to say goodbye

Hungry Dinosaur will close our door on Friday 28/10. We will open on 27/10 (Thur) & 28/10 (Fri). 12pm - 5pm or until we are sold out. (Any confirmed appointment will not be affected)

We have decided to relocate to my partner’s home 🇸🇪 for our new adventure. Life is always full of changes and we are getting ourselves ready for it.

I would like to thank you for all the support and encouragement given to me throughout my journey of running the little cake hidden in the basement. I really enjoy making every cakes for you. I am not very active in social media since i am in the kitchen all day. But I believe you can feel my gratitude through my cakes all the time:)

Hungry Dinosaur was born during the very difficult time in the Covid. I still remember those cold dark winter days, lockdowns and curfew. I am very happy if my cakes have given you some comfort in your bad days, celebrated your happy and special moments. I am so proud that my job is to bring happiness to people.🍰

There is so much in my heart but i just couldn’t turn them into words. Thank you for everything. I hope our paths will cross again the future!

“Ceremonial grade” is not a standard in Japan. Instead, matcha for drinking is classified as “Koicha” (thick tea) or “Usucha” (thin Tea). When grades go down, the taste goes slightly more astringent and aroma goes less profound. We have chosen three kinds of matcha for you.

Yugen又玄40g can - Є25
It is the highest grade in Usucha (thin tea). It has refreshing aroma, light bitterness and umami harmonize together.
Suitable for Usucha (thin tea)

Kinrin 金輪40g can - Є33
It is the elementary grade in Koicha. Refreshing, mellow and full bodied.
Suitable for both Usucha (thin tea) & Koicha (thick tea)

Kiun 喜雲40g can - Є40
Matcha favoured by renowned tea school Urasenke Konnichian (裏千家). Try and have an authentic taste of Japanese tea ceremony!

We are very excited to introduce you to the real high quality matcha from Marukyu Koyamaen (丸久小山園). Various kinds of tea is available in the shop from now!

Marukyu Koyamaen is a highly regarded tea grower, procurer and tea blender located in the heart of Uji, Kyoto with 300 years experience. Marukyu Koyamaen holds several patents for its production techniques as well as certification by the relevant local organizations. Their product has won Japan’s National Tea Competition 1st prize for 22 times. Their products are indeed with the best quality.

Each can of matcha is individually packed and sealed in the factory to keep it fresh. Matcha is easy to oxidize, we do not recommend repackaging from a large pack to ensure the quality.
