Ingredients for Soft Chin Chin

1kg plain flour
153ml evaporated milk (Peak Milk ) / 144g powdered milk
280g granulated sugar
255g margarine
2 tsp nutmeg
vegetable oil.

If you want the Chin Chin really crunchy, use the following quantities of ingredients

1kg plain flour
85ml evaporated milk 60g powdered milk
205g granulated sugar
125g margarine
2 medium nutmegs
Vegetable Oil
Directions

Procedure:
1. Mix the milk and sugar in a bowl allow to dissolve

NN: If you are using powdered milk, mix the milk and sugar. Then add 155ml of water for soft chin chin (70ml of water for crunchy.

2. Mix the nutmeg and flour, then rub the margarine into the flour till it is properly mixed.

3. Add the sugar/milk combined to the margarine/flour then combine all by hand till a smooth dough is achieved.

4. Place the dough on a flat surface, knead and flatten with rolling pin.

5.cut to desired shapes

6. Deep-fry in hot vegetable oil.

7. While frying, turn the chin chin till you get a golden brown color.

8. Pour the fried chinchin on a flat tray to dry and cool down.

Then pour in a container and seal it.
