MARRIED TO THE WRONG BROTHER

EPISODE 9

The tension inside the Harrison mansion lingered long after the confrontation ended.

Nobody spoke after Kenneth’s confession.

Even Mr. Harrison, who always seemed to have control over every situation, looked shaken.

Kelvin stood frozen for several seconds, staring at his brother like he no longer recognized him.

Kenneth loved Lydia.

Not temporarily.

Not out of obligation.

Actually loved her.

The realization sat heavily in the room.

Kenneth finally stepped back from the dining table.

His expression looked exhausted now, not angry.

Like a man who had finally carried too much for too long.

Without another word, he turned and walked upstairs.

Kelvin watched him leave, jaw tight.

Mrs. Harrison sighed deeply and slowly sat down.

This family is falling apart.

Nobody disagreed.

Meanwhile, at Sylvia’s apartment, Lydia remained restless.

Her mind kept replaying everything.

Kelvin’s return.

Kenneth’s silence.

That night they shared together.

And the guilt slowly eating her alive.

Sylvia walked into the room holding a plate of pasta

You’ve been staring at that wall for almost twenty minutes.

Lydia managed a weak smile.

My life has become a complete mess.

Sylvia handed her the plate gently before sitting beside her.

Then stop thinking about everybody else for one second and ask yourself the real question.

Lydia looked at her quietly.

Who do you actually want?

The question immediately tightened her chest.

Because the truth was no longer simple.

Before all this happened, the answer would have been Kelvin without hesitation.

But now…

Now Kenneth existed in her heart too.

And that scared her.

Back at the mansion, Kelvin stormed into Kenneth’s room without knocking.

Kenneth looked up from the edge of the bed calmly.

Kelvin shut the door behind him aggressively.

Since when?

Kenneth already knew what he meant.

He looked away briefly.

I didn’t plan for it to happen.

Kelvin laughed bitterly.

You fell in love with my wife while pretending to help me?

Kenneth’s expression darkened.

Don’t insult what I feel for her.

Kelvin moved closer immediately.

Then what should I call it?

Kenneth finally stood up.

You disappeared, Kelvin.

His voice remained calm, but firm.

You left her shattered. You left me to carry a responsibility I never asked for.

Kelvin scoffed angrily.

So you decided to sleep with her too?

Kenneth clenched his jaw.

Stop reducing everything to that.

But Kelvin was too angry to listen anymore.

Do you even hear yourself?

You’re my brother!

Kenneth looked directly at him now.

And for the first time in my life, I stopped living like your shadow.

The statement landed hard.

Kelvin stared at him in disbelief.

Kenneth continued quietly.

Do you know what it feels like spending your whole life cleaning up after somebody else?

Silence.

You make reckless decisions and everybody adjusts their lives around you.

Dad protects you.

Mum excuses you.

And somehow I’m always the one expected to sacrifice.

Kelvin’s anger slowly mixed with something else now.

Guilt.

But his pride refused to let him admit it.

Kenneth exhaled tiredly.

I never wanted to hurt you.

Kelvin laughed once.

Too late for that.

Downstairs, Mr. Harrison sat quietly in his study while Mrs. Harrison paced anxiously.

This situation is becoming dangerous, she whispered.

Mr. Harrison removed his glasses slowly.

The moment feelings became involved, it stopped being something we could control.

Mrs. Harrison looked worried.

What if Lydia chooses Kenneth?

The question lingered heavily inside the room.

Because deep down, they both knew something had changed between Lydia and Kenneth.

Something real.

Meanwhile, Sylvia finally looked at Lydia seriously.

You know what the real problem is?

Lydia looked up slowly.

You love Kelvin…

But you feel safe with Kenneth.

Lydia’s eyes immediately filled with emotion.

And she hated how true it sounded.

Because Kelvin gave her excitement.

Passion.

History.

But Kenneth…

Kenneth gave her peace.

And sometimes peace is far more dangerous to the heart.

Later that evening, Lydia finally switched on her phone after a day of avoiding calls.

Almost immediately, messages flooded her screen.

Mostly from Kelvin.

Calls.

Texts.

Voice notes.

Then one message from Kenneth.

Just one.

No matter what you decide, I will never regret loving you.Lydia stared at the message for a long time.

And somehow…

That single message affected her more than all of Kelvin’s desperate calls combined.

MARRIED TO THE WRONG BROTHER

EPISODE 8

Immediately after the heated argument that followed Kelvin’s return, the living room of the Harrison mansion remained tense.

Mr. Harrison quickly stepped in to calm everyone down, but the damage had already been done. Voices had been raised, truths had been exposed, and emotions were already out of control.

Kenneth stood there for a moment, breathing heavily, still processing everything that had been said.

Then suddenly, he picked up his car keys.

I’m leaving.

Kelvin turned sharply.

Where are you going?

Kenneth didn’t even look at him.

Home.

Before he could take another step, Mr. Harrison’s voice cut through the room firmly.

Nobody is leaving the mansion.

Everyone froze.

Kenneth stopped.

Mr. Harrison continued, his tone final.
Until this matter is fully resolved, no one leaves. Not You. Not Kelvin. Not until Lydia returns here. Everyone stays in this house.

Kenneth looked at him in disbelief.
So now we’re prisoners in our own father’s house?

Mr. Harrison didn’t respond.

The silence itself was the answer.

Reluctantly, Kenneth dropped his keys.

The day dragged on slowly after that.

No one had peace.

No proper conversation.

Even food was barely touched.

The house felt divided into invisible camps.

Kelvin remained restless, pacing and repeatedly trying Lydia’s number.

Kenneth kept to himself, his mood distant and withdrawn.

Mrs. Harrison moved between them, trying to keep the peace, but nothing worked.

By evening, the tension had only grown worse.

And by the time night finally came, the house was already emotionally drained.

Nobody slept peacefully.

Not Mr. Harrison.

Not Mrs. Harrison.

Not Kenneth.

And certainly not Kelvin.

Kelvin sat alone in the living room long after everyone went upstairs, drinking silently while replaying everything in his mind.

Kenneth slept with Lydia.

The thought burned like acid inside him.

Meanwhile, inside his room, Kenneth sat at the edge of the bed staring into space.

Lydia’s scent still lingered faintly in the room.

On the pillow.

On the blanket.

In his thoughts.

He closed his eyes tightly.

This was never supposed to happen.

But somehow, despite all his efforts to stay distant…

He had fallen in love with her.

Truly.

Completely.

And now Kelvin was back.

The next morning, the atmosphere during breakfast was painfully tense.

Mrs. Harrison barely touched her food.

Mr. Harrison looked visibly irritated.

Kelvin walked in looking exhausted and immediately asked,

Has Lydia called?

Nobody answered.

Kenneth remained quiet, sipping his coffee slowly.

Kelvin’s eyes shifted to him instantly.

You know where she is, don’t you?

Kenneth looked up calmly.

Yes.

Mr. Harrison frowned immediately.

Kenneth..

But Kelvin cut him off.

Good. Call her and tell her to come home.

Kenneth placed his cup down slowly.

She is not a child.

Kelvin gave a dry laugh.

Funny. You remember that now?

Mrs. Harrison quickly stepped in.

Please, both of you...

No, Mum, Kelvin snapped. Let’s stop pretending.
Everyone is acting like I committed mürdër.

Kenneth suddenly looked up sharply.

Someone actually died, Kelvin.

The room fell silent instantly.

Kelvin’s jaw tightened.

That was an accident, and you know it.

Kenneth let out a bitter laugh.

An accident caused by sneaking out to a club the night before your wedding like an irresponsible teenager.

Mr. Harrison frowned immediately.

Kenneth...

No, Dad. Let him hear it for once.

Years of silence inside Kenneth finally cracked open.

Your entire life has been reckless, Kelvin. Parties. Women. Trouble. Careless decisions. And every time, this family cleans up after you.

Kelvin stood up immediately.

Watch your tone.

But Kenneth continued.

Even now, you show no real remorse. You returned and everyone welcomed you with smiles like nothing happened.

Mrs. Harrison looked hurt.

Kenneth...

No, Mum. Let’s stop pretending.

His voice carried years of suppressed frustration.

You disappeared on your wedding day. Lydia’s life was destroyed. Mine too. Dad spent over one hundred and twenty million covering your mess. Someone lost his life. But somehow the only thing that matters is that Kelvin is back.

The room became painfully quiet.

Even Mr. Harrison looked uncomfortable.

Kenneth stood up slowly.

And now I’m expected to quietly step aside so everything can return to normal?

Kelvin stared at him in disbelief.

What exactly are you saying?
You my brother, slept with my wife.

Kenneth’s expression hardened instantly.

Your wife?

Kelvin looked at him sharply.

Yes. My wife.

The same wife you abandoned on your wedding day?

Kelvin’s jaw tightened.

I did not abandon her intentionally.

But you still disappeared.

The words landed heavily.

Kelvin moved closer.

And that gave you the right to replace me in every way?

Kenneth gave a bitter laugh.

You think this was easy for me?

The brothers stared at each other as years of buried emotions surfaced.

For once, it was no longer only about Lydia.

It was about years of comparison.

Years of silence.

Years of Kelvin being the favored son while Kenneth remained in the background.

Mr. Harrison stood up immediately.

Enough.

But Kenneth was no longer holding back.

All my life, everything has been about Kelvin.
His voice carried long-held frustration.
Kelvin this. Kelvin that. Even this marriage was forced on me because protecting him mattered more than my own life.

The room fell silent.

Mrs. Harrison looked stunned.

Even Kelvin looked caught off guard.

Kenneth exhaled slowly before continuing.

I tried to stay away from Lydia emotionally. I respected boundaries. I respected you.

He looked directly at Kelvin.

But somewhere along the line… I fell in love with her.

The confession landed heavily in the room.

Even Mr. Harrison froze briefly.

Kelvin gave a short, disbelieving laugh.

You love her?

Kenneth did not look away.

Yes.

Silence followed immediately.

Cold.

Heavy.

For the first time, Kelvin looked genuinely unsettled by his brother.

Because Kenneth was no longer the quiet shadow.

And deep down, Kelvin already knew Lydia had changed too.

He had seen it in her eyes.

The confusion.

The hesitation.

The distance when he held her.

And that scared him more than anything.

At Sylvia’s apartment, Lydia sat quietly on the balcony holding a cup of untouched tea.

Her mind felt exhausted.

Sylvia sat beside her carefully.

Do you still love Kelvin?

Lydia answered almost immediately.

I do.

But even as she said it, her chest tightened painfully.

Sylvia noticed.

And Kenneth?

Lydia lowered her gaze slowly.

That answer came harder.

Much harder.

Because loving Kelvin had always felt familiar.

But Kenneth…

Kenneth felt safe.

And that terrified her.

Because sometimes, safety turns into love before you realize it.

Back at the mansion, Kelvin stared at Kenneth with cold disbelief.

So what now?

Kenneth met his gaze steadily.

Now?

For the first time in my life… I am not walking away from what I love.

And Kelvin understood immediately.

His brother was ready to fight.

Even against him.

MARRIED TO THE WRONG BROTHER

EPISODE 7

The tension inside the Harrison mansion became unbearable after Kelvin’s return.

Lydia could not stay there another second.

The walls felt suffocating.

The secrets.

The pressure.

The guilt.

Everything was crashing into her at once.

Without saying much, she picked up her handbag and walked out quietly.

Kelvin called after her immediately.

Baby, where are you going?

But Lydia did not stop.

Outside the mansion gates, Sylvia’s car was already waiting.

The moment Lydia entered the passenger seat, she burst into tears.

Sylvia immediately grabbed her hand.

Hey… hey… calm down first.

But Lydia shook her head violently.

I can’t think straight anymore.

Her breathing became shaky.

Sylvia drove off quickly before anyone could stop them.

Inside the car, Lydia finally broke down completely.

I slept with Kenneth, Sylvia.

The words came out broken.

And now Kelvin is back acting like everything can just continue normally.

Sylvia glanced at her briefly while driving.

Did you love Kenneth before this happened?

Lydia wiped her tears quickly.

No… yes… I don’t even know anymore.

Everything happened so fast.

She covered her face with both hands.

I was supposed to hate him, Sylvia. I tried to hate him.

Sylvia stayed quiet.

But?

Lydia looked out the window helplessly.

But Kenneth is not who I thought he was.

The car fell silent.

Back at the Harrison mansion, things were already getting ugly.

Kelvin paced angrily across the living room.

Where is Lydia?

Nobody answered immediately.

Mr. Harrison finally spoke calmly.

She needed space.

Kelvin scoffed.

Space for what exactly? I’m back now.

Kenneth remained silent on the couch across the room.

Kelvin suddenly turned toward him.

Kenny, tell them this whole madness can end now.

Kenneth looked at him quietly but said nothing.

That silence irritated Kelvin immediately.

Bro, what’s with everybody behaving strangely?

Mrs. Harrison looked uncomfortable.

Kelvin sighed heavily and sat down.

Look, I know things became messy, but I’m here now. Lydia is my wife.

The statement hit the room heavily.

Kenneth slowly looked away.

Mr. Harrison finally spoke carefully.

Legally… things are complicated now.

Kelvin frowned immediately.

What complicated?

Dad, Kenneth only stood in for me.

Nobody answered.

The silence itself became suspicious.

Kelvin’s expression slowly changed as realization began creeping into his face.

He looked toward Kenneth again.

Then suddenly laughed awkwardly.

Wait…

He pointed between Kenneth and Lydia’s empty seat.

You people didn’t actually start acting like husband and wife… right?

Kenneth’s jaw tightened instantly.

Mr. Harrison stood up sharply.

That’s enough for today.

But Kelvin was no longer smiling.

His eyes moved slowly back to Kenneth.

Kenny?

Still no answer.

And that silence told him everything.

The atmosphere in the room changed instantly.

Dangerously.

Meanwhile, at Sylvia’s apartment, Lydia sat curled up on the bed with swollen eyes while Sylvia handed her tea carefully.

You need to think clearly now.

Lydia laughed bitterly.

Think about what?

Kelvin came back.

That should solve everything, right?

But even as she said it, her chest tightened painfully.

Because the truth was becoming harder to ignore.

When Kelvin disappeared…

She mourned him.

But when Kenneth touched her…

She felt safe.

That difference terrified her.

Back at the mansion, Kelvin exploded completely.

You slept with her?!

His voice thundered through the house.

Kenneth finally stood up slowly.

Lower your voice.

Kelvin stared at him in disbelief.

That’s my wife!

Kenneth’s eyes darkened slightly.

You disappeared on your wedding day.

The room fell silent again.

Kelvin moved closer angrily.

And that gave you the right to touch her?

Kenneth laughed bitterly for the first time.

Touch her?

Do you even know what she went through after you vanished?

Mr. Harrison immediately stepped in before things escalated physically.

Enough!

But the damage was already done.

Kelvin looked betrayed.

Kenneth looked exhausted.

And the family secret they had tried so hard to manage was finally collapsing in front of them.

Then Kelvin said the words that changed everything.

I want my wife back.

Silence.

Cold.

Heavy silence.

Because suddenly…

Lydia was no longer just the missing groom’s bride.

She had become the center of a war between twin brothers.

MARRIED TO THE WRONG BROTHER

EPISODE 6

The entire living room fell into stunned silence.

Lydia could barely breathe.

Kenneth stood frozen beside her.

And Kelvin…

Kelvin slowly stood up from the couch like nothing unusual had happened.

Alive.

Perfectly fine.

Before Lydia could even process anything, Kelvin rushed toward her and pulled her tightly into his arms.

Baby, I missed you.

His voice cracked slightly.

I’m sorry for everything.

Lydia remained stiff in his embrace.

Her mind was spinning too fast to react properly.

Behind them, Kenneth slowly sat down and covered his face with both hands.

The room suddenly felt too small.

Too heavy.

Mr. Harrison finally broke the silence.

Kelvin was arrested secretly.

Everyone looked toward him immediately.

The old man sighed deeply before continuing.

The night before the wedding, Kelvin went to a club with his best friend Tony.

Mrs. Harrison closed her eyes painfully.

We all thought he was here in the house. We had no idea he sneaked out that night.

Mr. Harrison continued grimly.

A fight broke out in the club. Someone was hit during the chaos. His head was badly injured and he died before reaching the hospital.

Lydia gasped softly.

Kenneth slowly lowered his hands from his face.

The police arrested everybody at the club that night, Mr. Harrison continued. They were moved to Abuja immediately. Nobody was allowed to contact their families.

The room remained silent except for Lydia’s shaky breathing.

I only found out through my sources, Mr. Harrison added. If I had not intervened carefully, Kelvin and the others could have disappeared completely. The boy who died was a minister’s son.

Kenneth looked up sharply.

Mr. Harrison’s face hardened.

His release alone cost me over one hundred and twenty million naira.

Lydia felt sick.

All this time…

Everyone knew.

At least partly.

And she had been left trapped inside a forced marriage while secrets moved around her behind closed doors.

Tears slowly filled her eyes.

She looked at Mr. Harrison with hurt written all over her face.

You knew?

Mr. Harrison sighed heavily.

I found out a few weeks ago but to protect this family’s reputation, I had to be discreet.

Lydia laughed bitterly through tears.

Discreet?

Her voice trembled painfully.

My entire life changed because people wanted to protect their image.

Nobody answered her.

Because nobody could deny it.

Kelvin stepped closer again carefully.

Lydia, I swear I never planned for any of this..

But Lydia moved back slightly.

Not dramatically.

Just enough for him to notice.

For the first time, Kelvin’s expression shifted with confusion.

Meanwhile Kenneth sat quietly, staring at the floor.

His chest felt unbearably tight.

Kelvin suddenly turned toward him.

Kenny…

Kenneth looked up slowly.

Thank you for standing in for me. Both at the wedding and at work. You are the best brother anybody could ask for.

Kenneth forced a faint nod but said nothing.

Because if he opened his mouth, he was not sure what would come out.

Across the room, Lydia quickly wiped her tears and pulled out her phone with trembling fingers.

She sent Sylvia a message immediately.

Where are you? I’m losing my mind. Kelvin is back… and I slept with Kenneth. The moment she sent it, panic crashed over her completely.

Because for the first time since Kelvin returned…

Reality finally hit her.

Last night changed everything.

Not emotionally.

Not symbolically.

Actually.

And now the man she originally loved was standing alive in front of her…

While the brother she was never supposed to fall for sat silently beside her carrying the exact same secret.

The silence inside the mansion became unbearable.

Then suddenly, Kelvin smiled lightly, trying to ease the tension.

At least everything can finally return back to normal now.

The moment the words left his mouth, Kenneth’s jaw tightened slightly.

And Lydia’s heart sank instantly.

Because deep down…

Nothing felt normal anymore.

MARRIED TO THE WRONG BROTHER

EPISODE 5

Weeks turned into months.

And somehow, the tension inside Kenneth’s house slowly began to change.

Not suddenly.

Not dramatically.

Just little changes that neither of them noticed immediately.

Lydia no longer avoided him the way she used to.

The silence between them became softer.

Comfortable sometimes.

They started eating dinner together occasionally instead of separately.

Sometimes Kenneth would come back late from work and find Lydia asleep on the couch waiting for him without even realizing she had waited.

Sometimes Lydia would catch herself smiling at his dry comments before quickly looking away.

And the most dangerous part of it all…

Was that Kenneth never pushed.

Never forced closeness.

Never demanded affection.

He simply existed around her gently.

One rainy evening, Lydia sat on the kitchen counter watching Kenneth cook after the chef failed to come.

You can actually cook?

Kenneth shrugged casually while stirring the pot.

I like knowing how to survive by myself.

Lydia smiled.

Kelvin almost burnt water once.

The words slipped out naturally before she realized it.

A brief silence followed.

Kenneth laughed quietly.

That sounds like him.

For the first time since the wedding, mentioning Kelvin did not completely destroy the atmosphere between them.

And somehow, that scared Lydia.

Because she was getting used to Kenneth.

Dangerously used to him.

Later that night, NEPA took the light again.

The entire house fell into darkness except for the soft glow from rechargeable lamps around the sitting room.

Rain poured heavily outside.

Lydia sat curled up on the couch under a blanket while Kenneth worked on his laptop nearby.

You know, she said softly, I used to think you didn’t like people.

Kenneth looked up briefly.

Why?

You hardly talked.

He smiled faintly.

Talking too much is exhausting.

Lydia laughed quietly.

The sound filled the room warmly.

Kenneth found himself staring at her longer than usual.

And Lydia noticed.

The air suddenly changed.

Neither of them looked away immediately.

Outside, thunder echoed softly.

Inside, something unspoken passed between them.

Lydia’s heartbeat quickened.

She looked down first.

Kenneth closed his laptop slowly.

You should sleep. You look tired.

But neither of them moved.

The silence stretched.

Heavy.

Dangerous.

Then softly, Kenneth spoke again.

Lydia…

The way he said her name made her chest tighten.

Not forced.

Not careful.

Just honest.

When Lydia looked at him again, the distance between them suddenly felt too small.

And before either of them could overthink it…

Kenneth kissed her.

Softly.

Carefully.

Like he was giving her room to stop him.

But she didn’t.

Instead, Lydia kissed him back.

Weeks of confusion, loneliness, tension, and hidden emotions crashed between them at once.

The kiss deepened slowly, emotionally, intensely.

And for the first time since this nightmare began…

Nothing between them felt forced.

That night, the walls they had both carefully maintained finally broke.

The love they shared was tender, emotional, and filled with all the feelings neither of them had wanted to admit.

And afterward, Lydia lay against Kenneth’s chest quietly while the rain continued outside.

Neither of them spoke.

Because speaking would make everything too real.

For the first time in months…

Lydia slept peacefully.

The next morning, sunlight filtered softly into the room.

Kenneth woke first.

For a few seconds, he simply looked at Lydia sleeping beside him peacefully.

Then his phone rang suddenly.

The sound shattered the quiet atmosphere instantly.

Kenneth reached for it quickly.

His expression changed the moment he saw the caller.

Mr. Harrison.

Kenneth answered immediately.

Dad?

His father’s voice sounded tense.

Both of you should come to the mansion now.

Kenneth frowned.

What happened?

Just come now.

The line went dead.

An uneasy feeling settled immediately inside Kenneth’s chest.

Beside him, Lydia slowly opened her eyes.

What’s wrong?

Kenneth stood up already.

Dad said we should come to the mansion immediately.

Something in his voice made Lydia nervous instantly.

Less than an hour later, they arrived at the Harrison mansion.

The atmosphere outside already felt strange.

Security guards stood stiffly.

Servants looked nervous.

Even the air itself felt heavy.

Lydia’s heartbeat quickened as they entered the living room together.

Then both of them froze.

Kelvin was sitting on the couch.

Alive.

Calm.

Looking directly at them.

And the moment his eyes dropped to Lydia and Kenneth standing together…

A slow smile appeared on his face.

MARRIED TO THE WRONG BROTHER

EPISODE 4

Living with Kenneth felt strange to Lydia.

Not because he was rude.

But because he was too careful.

Too calm.

Too disciplined.

She had known him for years as Kelvin’s quiet younger brother, the one that hardly spoke during family gatherings, the one everybody overlooked because Kelvin naturally filled every room with noise and confidence.

Even while she dated Kelvin, Kenneth mostly stayed in the background.

And Kelvin always joked about him.

Don’t let Kenneth fool you, that one no dey show himself.

Sometimes he would laugh and add,

Very quiet people are the worst. Kenneth is a slow pø!son.

Lydia used to laugh too.

So after the wedding drama and sudden marriage switch, she stayed careful around Kenneth.

They shared the same room.

The same bed.

Every single night.

The first night, Lydia pretended to be asleep before Kenneth entered the room.

Her body stayed tense beneath the blanket as she listened carefully to his footsteps.

She expected awkwardness.

Maybe an attempt to start a conversation.

Maybe a touch.

Maybe some kind of reminder that they were now husband and wife.

But Kenneth simply changed into his night clothes quietly and climbed into bed carefully, leaving enough space between them.

Then after a few seconds, she felt him place a pillow gently in the middle of the bed.

Not dramatically.

Just softly.

Like someone trying not to make another person uncomfortable.

You don’t have to worry, he said quietly, thinking she was asleep already. I know this situation is hard enough for you.

After that, he switched off the bedside lamp and faced the other side.

That was all.

Lydia opened her eyes slowly in the darkness, confused.

Because she did not understand him.

Anytime she woke up in the middle of the night, he remained on his side of the bed, careful not to cross boundaries. Some nights, she would find him awake, reading quietly with the bedside lamp dimmed low so the light would not disturb her sleep.

Weeks passed.

Kenneth remained the same.

Consistent.

He never raised his voice.

Never acted entitled.

Never reminded her that he was now her husband.

At first, Lydia assumed he was only behaving that way because of pity. After all, the entire wedding situation had been emotionally exhausting for her too.

But slowly, she started noticing things that had nothing to do with pity.

Kenneth was naturally attentive.

One morning, she rushed downstairs late for work and found her car already warmed up outside.

The gateman told her Kenneth had started it earlier because he noticed the weather was cold.

Another evening, NEPA took light while Lydia was working in the room. Before she could complain, Kenneth quietly brought in a rechargeable lamp and placed it beside her without interrupting her phone call.

Then one afternoon, she returned home to find Kenneth inside the bathroom repairing the leaking shower pipe himself.

His sleeves were folded slightly, his hands wet.

Lydia stopped at the door in surprise.

You’re fixing it yourself?

Kenneth looked up casually.

The plumber said he would come tomorrow. I didn’t want you stressing over it till then.

Rich men hardly behaved like that.

Especially men from families like theirs.

Little things.

Tiny things.

Things most people would not even notice.

And the scary part was that he never did any of them expecting praise.

One Saturday, Lydia developed terrible menstrual cramps.

The pain was so bad she could barely stand upright.

She had locked herself in the bathroom for almost an hour, embarrassed and uncomfortable.

When she finally came out slowly, Kenneth looked up from the couch immediately.

You’re in pain?

I’m fine, she lied.

He studied her face for a few seconds but did not argue.

Ten minutes later, he returned quietly with hot water, pain medication, and a heating pad.

Lydia blinked in surprise.

You bought all these?

Kenneth looked almost confused by the question.

You looked uncomfortable.

That was it.

No drama.

No attempt to make himself look good.

That night, Lydia lay on the bed staring at the ceiling while Kenneth slept peacefully beside her.

For the first time, she found herself truly observing him.

Not as Kelvin’s brother.

Not as the replacement groom.

But as a man.

And suddenly, she realized something that unsettled her deeply.

Kenneth’s kindness was not an act.

It was simply who he was.

MARRIED TO THE WRONG BROTHER

EPISODE 3

The next morning, the Harrison mansion is unusually quiet.

The tension from the previous day still hangs heavily in the air.

Kenneth comes downstairs dressed casually, car keys in his hand, clearly ready to leave.

Mr. Harrison is already seated in the living room reading through messages on his phone, looking exhausted from sleeplessness.

The moment he sees Kenneth heading toward the door, his expression darkens.

Where are you going?

Kenneth stops briefly.

I’m going back home.

Mr. Harrison slowly lowers his phone.

And where is Lydia?

Kenneth looks at him in disbelief.

Am I supposed to go back with her? She is not my wife. She is married to Kelvin. I was only standing in.

Mr. Harrison’s face hardens immediately.

Do you want to ruin this family’s image?

Kenneth exhales angrily.

Dad...

Have you forgotten that you and your brother have twin duplexes built side by side? Most people who are not close enough cannot even differentiate between the two of you properly.

Kenneth says nothing.

You are going back with her, Mr. Harrison continues firmly. People must continue believing nothing is wrong until Kelvin is found.

Kenneth stares at his father in shock.

Dad… what about me? Do you even think about my life? You are trying to reshape my entire life for something I never wanted.

Mr. Harrison rises slowly from his seat.

I am trying to do what is best for this family. Until Kelvin comes back, you are to pose as Lydia’s husband. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Kenneth laughs bitterly and runs his hand through his hair in frustration.

This is insane.

And don’t worry about your domestic staff, Mr. Harrison adds calmly. Your mother and I already handled it. They were dismissed with handsome payments, and new workers who know nothing about this family have been employed.

Kenneth looks completely stunned.

You did what?

You heard me. So there will be no loose talk, no suspicion, no mistakes.

Kenneth just stares at his father silently, disappointment written all over his face.

At that moment, Lydia slowly comes downstairs.

She stops halfway on the staircase after overhearing everything.

Her chest tightens.

Dad… how am I supposed to live with Kenneth when Kelvin is still missing?

Mr. Harrison’s expression softens slightly as he turns toward her.

Lydia dear, you have to understand that whatever we are doing is for the good of both families. Please, just follow him until we find your Kelvin.

Lydia lowers her eyes painfully.

Then suddenly Mr. Harrison speaks again.

And your best friend… Sylvia.

Lydia looks up immediately.

Mr. Harrison narrows his eyes.

She was walking outside the compound last night. Our security cameras captured her. I believe she suspects something. That girl is smart.

He pauses before adding firmly,

Handle her carefully. Make sure she does not start talking carelessly.

Kenneth immediately looks at his father.

So now you are spying on everybody too?

Mr. Harrison ignores the comment.

We cannot afford mistakes right now.

Silence fills the room.

Kenneth looks at Lydia.

She looks emotionally exhausted already.

For a moment, guilt flashes across his face even though none of this is his fault.

Finally, he speaks quietly.

Let’s just do what he wants.

Lydia says nothing.

A few minutes later, the two of them leave the mansion together.

The drive is painfully silent.

Lydia sits by the window, lost in thought, while Kenneth grips the steering wheel tightly, clearly frustrated.

Neither of them knows what to say.

Outside, the city moves normally.

But inside the car, everything feels heavy.

When they finally arrive at the property, Lydia’s heart tightens painfully.

The twin duplexes stand side by side, separated by a beautifully designed fence.

One belongs to Kenneth.

The other belongs to Kelvin.

As the car slows down, Lydia turns toward Kelvin’s duplex quietly.

Her chest aches immediately.

This is where I was supposed to be.

This is where I used to visit.

Most of my things are even inside that house.

Memories flood her mind instantly. The laughter, the late-night visits, the dreams she and Kelvin shared inside those walls.

And now she cannot even walk into it.

Kenneth notices the look on her face but says nothing.

The gate to his own duplex opens slowly.

A newly employed maid steps outside respectfully, clearly unaware of the family secret.

Welcome sir. Welcome madam.

Kenneth closes his eyes briefly in frustration at the greeting.

Lydia notices.

And somehow, the awkwardness between them becomes even worse.

Because for the first time since the wedding…

They are truly about to live together.
