Two days ago, some customers placed an order for a total of 30 samosas and 30 spring rolls.
As soon as I got the order that morning, I carried my market bag and headed straight to the market. No time to waste. After buying everything I needed, I came back home and got to work immediately.
I started with the fillings, making sure everything was well seasoned and tasty. Then came the wrapping. If you've ever made samosas and spring rolls before, you'll know that wrapping them one by one is not beans. 😅
Before I knew it, hours had gone by. My hands were busy, my feet were tired, but my mind was focused on one thing...making sure my customers got the best.
By God's grace, I finished on time and delivered the order around 3.30pm.
Sadly, I didn't take any pictures. In fact, taking pictures didn't even cross my mind because I was rushing to meet up with delivery time. Sometimes, when business is busy, your camera becomes the last thing on your mind.
The sweetest part came later.
My customer reached out and said they loved the small chops. Honestly, that one message made me smile. All the stress from the market, the preparation, the wrapping, and the frying suddenly felt worth it.
As a small business owner, there is something special about hearing, "I enjoyed it" or "It was really nice." Those simple words can give you the energy to keep going.
People often see the finished product, but they don't always see the effort behind it, the early market runs, the preparation, the standing for hours, and the determination to deliver quality every single time.
And that's exactly why I do what I do.
I don't just make small chops. I make them with care, with passion, and with the hope that every customer enjoys every bite.
Now, who's ready for the next batch of crispy samosas and delicious spring rolls? 😊
