How to make meat pie.
Recipe
For the dough
* Flour. 1kg
*Butter. 500g
*Water
*Salt Pinch
*Baking powder 1teaspoon.

Procedure
* Put your flour in a mixing bowl, add baking powder and salt. Melt your butter (to soften the butter), add it to the flour ,mix well and add water ,mix it thoroughly to get your dough.
Note: The dough should not too soft.

For the filling
* Meat
*Carrot ( Cut into tiny sizes)
*Irish potato( Cut into tiny sizes)
*Onion ( Slice )
*Maggi
*Curry
*Thyme
*Salt( To taste)
* Green peas
*Vegetable oil

Procedure
*Fry your onions with just a half cooking spoon of vegetable oil, then add meat, seasoning ( maggi).
Stir it up for like 10 minutes till it changes colour and look cooked.
* Add a little water, then add carrot ,green peas, potatoes ,curry, thyme, salt and cover the pot to get cooked.
* Set aside when done to cool before rolling your dough.
(Note:- The filling should not be watery).

Make your Meat pie
*Lightly flour your
working area and turn the dough onto it. Roll the
dough out into a large flat, thin circle.
*Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a
baking sheet with baking paper and lightly grease
it.
* Take a saucer and use it to cut out circles from
the dough. Dab some water around the edges of
the circles using your finger. This is to help seal
the pie when you’ve put the filling.
* Take the cooled filling and spoon some onto the
half side of the circle. Pull the other half over to
close the pie and place it onto the prepared
baking sheet.
*Repeat process until all the dough is used up.
Decorate the edges of each pie with a fork by
gently pressing on them. Cut a small slit in the
middle of each pie to create an air vent which is
needed to let the steam out when the pies are
baking.
* Lightly brush each pie with a beaten egg. Bake
in preheated oven for 25-30 mins or until the pies
are golden brown. Enjoy!

WHITE LINE DOUGHNUT (Pillow Doughnut) RECIPE

🌟 INGREDIENTS

◾️3 cups of flour
◾️½ cup sugar
◾️1 tbsp of instant dry yeast
◾️4 tbsp of margarine
◾️1 large egg (optional)
◾️½ tbsp vanilla flavour (optional)
◾️½ cup of warm water
◾️Oil for frying (just enough to let the dough float).

🌟 PROCEDURE

◾️Mix the flour and yeast together into a bowl. Ensure to sift them first.

◾️Sift other dry ingredients into the bowl and mix thoroughly.

◾️Add margarine and mix.

◾️Mix egg and flavour to form crumbs.

◾️Make a well at the center and start adding warm water gradually until it's soft and pliable.

◾️Transfer to your table, sprinkle some flour and begin to knead to form a dough for about 20-25minutes. (Don't overwork your dough).

(It should have become stretchy after 25minutes of kneading).

◾️Form a ball with it, place in a bowl and allow to rise for 40 minutes or until doubled in size.

◾️After it doubles, punch it down and start forming your balls with your dough.

(You can use scale to measure so that you have equal sizes).

◾️Place each ball on a separate paper,

(This will make it easy for you to drop in oil without deflating the dough).

◾️Allow these to rise to until doubled in size.

◾️Heat your oil until it is just hot enough to cook your dough.

(To test for heat, just drop a small dough into the oil, If it floats immediately, your oil is good to go, if it sits back in the oil, it's too cold for your dough).

◾️Pick one dough, using the paper, drop carefully into the oil, you should see just tiny bubbles and not large ones.

(Slow fry it, to ensure that it gets well cooked inside).

◾️Flip the dough once it's golden brown.

◾️Place on kitchen towel to remove excess oil, allow to cool

(You may desire to fill with jam or any filling of your choice).

➡️ TO FILL WITH JAM

◾️Use a round nozzle and a piping bag to fill the jam.

◾️Make a hole, insert the nozzle and squeezed the jam in it. That's all.

HOW TO KNOW A GOOD CAKE

All cakes are sweet because of the presence of sugar so there's nothing like sweet cake. Even the dry rock called cakes are sweet. A nice cake is moist and fluffy.

Here are the tips that contribute to nice cakes

1⃣ YOUR HEAT:

Heat determines the outcome of your cake. If you have too much heat, no matter what you add to your cake, its going to come out different likewise when its too low. Your cake needs moderate heat.

To control the temperature of your local oven, use thermometer but if you don't have one, a bowl of water into the oven will help you regulate the heat.

2⃣ CREAMING YOUR BATTER:

How fluffy you cream your batter determines the outcome of your cake.

It's popular to hear that creamimg should be done till 'sugar melts." Truth remains, sugar can never melt! It only melts when it gets to the oven.

So to know if your creamed batter is ready to be mixed, it doubles in size and becomes lighter in weight.

When you scoop it on your spatula it falls off easily. That way, you are ready to mix!

3⃣ USING THE RIGHT FLOUR:

Some flour are better than the others! Cake flour is better for cake making than bread flour and all purpose flour. The brand you're using is also a good determinant. Ensure you're using the right flour.

4⃣ SCOOPING TOO MUCH BATTER INTO YOUR PAN.

Truth be told, your baked cake shouldn't be more than 2" high when cold!

Learn to bake in batches! Don't heap all batter into a pan.

If you mix 500g batter, scoop it into 3 same pans and allow to bake. To ensure it doesnt stay too long in the oven.

Have you ever wondered why cup cakes come out fluffier even with same recipe? That's because it didn't pass through too much heat!

5⃣ SIEVE YOUR FLOUR!

Sieving of flour is not just to remove dirt. It entraps air into the batter.

Seive directly into your batter and use the fold in method.

6⃣ DON'T OVER MIX!

Whether you are using a mixer or by hand, reduce the speed when u are adding flour.

Use the fold in method!

7⃣ EXPOSURE TO OPEN AIR

Don't expose your baked cake to open air especially during dry season. Wrap it in a cling film.

I love you all ♥💕😍
