Everyone was seated, waiting.

Back at the hotel, the bride and her girls were all ready—
just waiting for pictures to be taken before heading to the church.

In the men’s room, the groom was set. He looked at his reflection, took a deep breath and smiled.

“Today I get married to the love of my life,” he said quietly.

His boys laughed and started hyping him up.
“Guy, you don finally do am o!”
“See fine groom!”
“Na today be the day!”

He chuckled, shaking his head. “After today, nothing do me again.”

As he reached for the door…

beep

His phone lit up.

He froze.
He couldn’t believe who had just texted him.

He turned to his best man,
“I’ll meet you guys at the church.”

As he made to dash out, his best man stopped him—
“Guy, where you dey go? You no dey marry today? People don dey wait!”

“Stand in for me… you be my best man. I dey come abeg.”

And just like that—he ran out.

Leaving everyone confused… shocked… and wondering what just happened.
