Cakes usually have a lot of sugar content which could be a "no-no" especially for individuals on a weight loss journey.
So what are the tips for "fit-fam" individuals who are still cake lovers and yet to be weaned off cake.
1- Gradually reduce the quantity and frequency at which you eat it.
Say for instance you eat 3 large cupcakes 4 times a week, you could gradually reduce it to 2 large cupcakes 4 times a week and then subsequently take it down to 2 cupcakes thrice a week and so on.
This way you are most likely not recoil to the previous dietary lifestyle of 3 large cupcakes a week and you will be able to achieve and maintain your weight loss goal.
2- Secondly if you usually take cupcakes or whole cakes with cake frosting/icing on it, you should consider taking plain cakes or cupcakes with no frosting instead.
3- You might want to consider speaking with your baker when making a personal order for a cake to slightly reduce the sugar content.
