MEAT PIE RECIPES
Here are three meat pie recipes for you to try:
1. TRADITIONAL BEEF AND MUSHROOM PIE
Ingredients:
• 1 lb beef chuck, cubed
• 1 cup sliced mushrooms
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon tomato paste
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
• 2 cups beef broth
• 2 tablespoons flour
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 sheet puff pastry
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat until browned on all sides. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
3. Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic to the same skillet and cook until softened.
4. Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet and stir to combine.
5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
6. Slowly add beef broth to the skillet, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
7. Add the beef back into the skillet and stir to combine.
8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
9. Roll out puff pastry sheet and cut it into circles.
10. Place the beef and mushroom mixture into small pie dishes, and top with puff pastry circles.
11. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
2. CHICKEN AND VEGETABLE PIE
Ingredients:
• 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
• 1 cup chopped carrots
• 1 cup chopped potatoes
• 1 cup chopped celery
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 2 cups chicken broth
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 sheet puff pastry
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
3. Add carrots, potatoes, celery, onion, and garlic to the same skillet and cook until softened.

3. LAMB AND POTATO PIE
Here is a recipe for Lamb and Potato Pie that serves 6-8 people:
Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 lb (700 g) lamb shoulder, diced
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 onion, diced
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tsp dried thyme
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 cup beef broth
• 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
• 2 tbsp water
• 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
• 2 tbsp melted butter
• Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the lamb and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the lamb from the skillet and set aside.
3. Add the onion, garlic, and thyme to the same skillet and cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
4. Add the tomato paste, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
5. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add the mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
6. Add the lamb back to the skillet and stir to combine with the sauce.
7. Transfer the lamb mixture to a large baking dish.
8. Arrange the sliced potatoes on top of the lamb mixture. Brush the potatoes with melted butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
9. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
10. Remove the foil and continue to bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.
11. Let the pie cool for a few minutes before serving.
