HOW TO MAKE YUMMY SUGAR DOUGHNUT
INGREDIENTS:
3 Cups of flour
1 Cup of warm milk
1 Egg
2 Tablespoons of instant yeast
6 Tablespoons of sugar
2 Tablespoons of margarine
ยฝ Teaspoon of salt
Icing or granulated sugar for dusting
Vegetable oil
PROCEDURES:
๐ In a bowl, pour your milk, add egg, sugar, yeast and salt, whisk together then add your flour and mix until doughy, now add your margarine and mix well.
Note: Add some flour if your dough mixture is too wet(not too much) but if the dough is too dry, add up some margarine or vegetable oil.
๐ Knead until smooth and elastic.
(If your dough becomes tough, dense and hard to flatten and fold, it means you've over-kneaded the dough)
๐ Grease the dough with little vegetable oil in a bowl then cover and proof for an hour or until it doubles in size.
๐ After an hour of proofing, punch the air(bubbles) out of the dough with your fist๐ and cut into any desired size.
๐ Turn each piece into a ball shape and lightly flatten the dough with a rolling pin.
๐ Poke a hole in the centre of the dough using your doughnut cutter or any small plastic bottle cap.
๐ Cover and proof again for at least 15 to 30 minutes to rise then deep fry until slightly brown.
๐ Dust with your icing or granulated sugar.
