Right now CAC has marked a lot of bussiness inactive waiting to deregister it after a given period.

This happens when you do not file annual returns year after year!

It is the duty of every registered business to file annual returns yearly.

CAC is quietly piling your debt until you need to apply for a visa at the embassy, apply for tax clearance certificate, or apply for a loan, upgrade your business to a company or even get a government contract.

Annual returns deadline for business name and company is 30th of June every year

Annual returns for business name is N3,000 yearly
For LTD - N5,000 yearly
For Incorporated trustees - N5,000 yearly

Failure to pay before this date attracts a penalty of N5,000.
