Why do we eat log cake a.k.a Yule log during Christmas?
The tradition comes from a very long time ago, in winter, families would gather around the fireplace and burn huge decorated logs. The ashes of the Yule log were believed to hold magical and medical powers that would ward off evil spirits for the coming year.

As time past, the Yule log still does one thing which it brings families together on Christmas. They may not be telling their fortunes from the flames or spreading ashes in fields, but they’re celebrating togetherness at Christmas with love ones. 💖
