Mahindi, anyone?😀
After some inquiries on healthier snack options to try out, this is first pick in a 9 part series I will be doing with you guys over the next few days.
Let’s take a quick rewind to the announcement of the social distancing measures in my country.🇰🇪🇰🇪 The instant impulse was to stock on food for the days ahead. In the midst of that, my quarantine buddy and I thought that getting some sweets and junk would help us cope during our snack time as we worked from home.
They didn’t, actually!
My body screamed with discomfort at the amount of sugar I was consuming! Acne and all it’s unwanted companions. My teeth on edge. It was just a mess!
So, we sat down and thought of new ways of having a healthier diet.
Yesterday, I went to my very friendly mama mboga (Rosemary is her name) and got a few cobs of fresh maize with the hope that I would be more disciplined with eat boiled maize than with eating cake. God is working in some mysterious way to help me cope!
So, this is a dedication to those of you who are leaning less towards sugar as you handle your meal plans during this pandemic.
