English Swahili. Matthew 16:13-19
[13]When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
Basi Yesu akaenda pande za Kaisaria-Filipi, akawauliza wanafunzi wake akasema, Watu hunena Mwana wa Adamu kuwa ni nani?
[14]And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Wakasema, Wengine hunena u Yohana Mbatizaji, wengine Eliya, wengine Yeremia au mmojawapo wa manabii.
[15]He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Akawaambia, Nanyi mwaninena mimi kuwa ni nani?
[16]And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Simoni Petro akajibu akasema, Wewe ndiwe Kristo, Mwana wa Mungu aliye hai.
[17]And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Yesu akajibu, akamwambia, Heri wewe Simoni Bar-yona; kwa kuwa mwili na damu havikukufunulia hili, bali Baba yangu aliye mbinguni.
[18]And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Nami nakuambia, Wewe ndiwe Petro, na juu ya mwamba huu nitalijenga kanisa langu; wala milango ya kuzimu haitalishinda.
[19]And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Nami nitakupa wewe funguo za ufalme wa mbinguni; na lo lote utakalolifunga duniani, litakuwa limefungwa mbinguni; na lo lote utakalolifungua duniani, litakuwa limefunguliwa mbinguni.

Today I wish to reflesh todays gospel and today's celebration of the chair of st Peter which speaks about Jesus asking his disciples who is he and the other disciples says he is Elijah some Moses but Simon Peter says he Jesus son of God and Jesus gived Peter the keys of the church and told him who ever you forgive heaven is forgiven but whoever you don't forgive heaven is not forgiven late pray God to save us and give us wisdom and knowledge of understanding like peter in the time of lent

English Swahili. Joel 2:12-18
[12]Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
Lakini hata sasa, asema BWANA, nirudieni mimi kwa mioyo yenu yote, na kwa kufunga, na kwa kulia, na kwa kuombolea;
[13]And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
rarueni mioyo yenu, wala si mavazi yenu, mkamrudie BWANA, Mungu wenu; kwa maana yeye ndiye mwenye neema, amejaa huruma; si mwepesi wa hasira, ni mwingi wa rehema, naye hughairi mabaya.
[14]Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
N’nani ajuaye kwamba hatarudi na kugeuka, na kutuachia baraka nyuma yake, naam, sadaka ya unga, na sadaka ya kinywaji, kwa BWANA, Mungu wenu?
[15]Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
Pigeni tarumbeta katika Sayuni, Takaseni saumu, kusanyeni kusanyiko kuu;
[16]Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Kusanyeni watu, litakaseni kusanyiko, Kusanyeni wazee, kusanyeni watoto, Na hao wanyonyao maziwa; Bwana arusi na atoke chumbani mwake, Na bibi arusi katika hema yake.
[17]Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
Hao makuhani, wahudumu wa BWANA, na walie Kati ya patakatifu na madhabahu, Na waseme, Uwaachilie watu wako, Ee BWANA, Wala usiutoe urithi wako upate aibu, Hata mataifa watawale juu yao; Kwani waseme kati ya watu, Yuko wapi Mungu wao? Majibu ya Mungu na Ahadi yake
[18]Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
Hapo ndipo BWANA alipoona wivu kwa ajili ya nchi yake, akawahurumia watu wake.
