This 210mm Yanagiba combines the flowing patterns of Damascus steel with a beautifully crafted White Urushi handle, creating a knife that feels as refined as the dishes it was designed to prepare.
The layered Damascus finish showcases intricate wave-like patterns forged directly into the steel, while the hand-finished Urushi handle reveals subtle hidden textures beneath its elegant white surface. Under different lighting, the delicate patterns emerge softly, adding depth and character to an otherwise minimalist design.
Built around a VG-10 core, this knife offers excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and the long, clean slicing performance that Yanagiba knives are known for.
Would this be your dream sashimi knife?

Welcome back to another episode of Musashi Picks.
Today, Leonie from our team is sharing her favorite knife — a compact Petty knife crafted with a carbon steel blade and a beautiful olive wood handle.
Known for its precision and versatility, the Petty knife is a go-to choice for detailed kitchen tasks, from peeling fruit to preparing herbs and vegetables. The carbon steel blade offers exceptional sharpness, making it especially appreciated by professional chefs.
For Leonie, however, what makes this knife truly special is the handle.
Originally from Ibiza, Spain, she was immediately drawn to the olive wood, which reminds her of home and the landscapes she grew up around. It‘s a simple detail, but one that turns a tool into something more personal.
Sometimes, a favorite knife isn’t chosen only for its performance — it‘s chosen for the story it carries.
What makes a knife special to you?
