“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.” - Michael Jordan 🏆 WE DID IT!! Our BOOMi Bears hockey team in Shanghai won the Championship! 🏆 I am so proud of our team and every player; each person improved during the year, and our teamwork proved to be the difference in the most important games. What an amazing season for the BOOMi Bears!🌟🌟🌟
Honoured to have been voted as Playoff MVP! 🏆 Thanks to my teammates for helping make my first season as a captain a success! Our BOOMi Bears won a lot of awards at the year-end event, which speaks to the dedication of every player to our team plan which rewarded everyone with a championship 😌
🎬 Pretty cool to see the speech BEFORE we played the Finals game 🌟 It was my first time being a captain, so I had a lot to learn along the way, but always tried my best to be positive and help everybody elevate their game. Luckily, I’ve played with great captains before, and was blessed with such a wonderful team this season. Everyone had a role to play, and we executed our plan together. The last 2 videos are the friendly rivalry the “McBeast” of our league had with me. I didn’t learn to skate until I moved to Shanghai, but this guy played when he was younger and is obviously much bigger — I always tell kids that you can make up for your lack of size with your heart + effort, and others will respect you for that 😊 One of the coolest parts about hockey is that we battle on the ice, but there is ultimately respect between players and teams. 💪🏻🤝💫 Sportsmanship and honour is so important — plus, you never know when you might be teammates one day! 😂
